WNBC, Carrascolendas Open

This is the opening to the bilingual kids' show Carrascolendas, produced in the 70's by Austin, Texas PBS station KLRN. This particular airing (of episode 45) was on WNBC (New York City's channel 4), on an early Sunday morning in October of 1986. It's preceded by a brief message about the station's New Jersey news bureau. Unfortunately, the tape only caught about the first ten minutes or so of the program.
I noticed that this version is different from the original (that is, episode one) intro because a scene of two kids doing “The Bump” was replaced by a shot of Luis Ávalos dressed as a cat. I feel pretty certain it’s him, but I can’t find any reference to his being a regular cast member.
