I live in Newland NC. So glad you visited out tiny town. One waterfall you missed is Soco Falls in Maggie Valley. It is not far from Mingo Falls. If you ever get back to this area please check it out.

ALL waterfalls are beautiful, but Catawba falls is for relaxation, and number one because it has amazing trail. another amazing waterfalls is Hickory nut falls because of the scenic road when i get to Chimney Rock state park.

Great video. Thank you for the ADA information. So many youtubers do not consider us with disabilities when giving reviews. ❤️ Great job.

One that is a little difficult to get to is wolf creek falls. It is technically in Del Rio, TN. My family has been visiting this waterfall every year for more than 40 years. It is a bit of a drive down some winding gravel mountain roads, and you will probably want to take a 4x4 down the last bit of the trail to get to it. Or you could hike it. It is wonderful for being so secluded. You never see more than one other family there when visiting. It has a nice wading pool at the bottom of the fall. It is a little challenging to get to the pool at the bottom, but it is well worth it. Take a picnic and make a day of it. It is within a few miles of Max Patch. Max Patch is on the Appalachian trail and has some beautiful hikes and great scenery.

Thet sounds like our kind of place. Especially needing a 4x4. 😃 Max patch is awesome too you could see both. Great suggestion. Do you happen to have a GPS location?

As a photographer, I've been to over 30 NC waterfalls. Many you didn't list but often with a bit of a hike. Crabtree Falls and Second Falls are just off the BRP. SoCo Falls is near Cherokee. Moore Cove is near Looking Glass, and Cedar Rock Creek & Dill Falls are on a road a few miles south of it. French Broad & Mill Shoals are on rt 215. Indian Creek and Juney Whank are near Bryson City. Silver Run and Whitewater Falls are south of rt 64, and several others are in state parks scattered across the mountains.

Thanks for this video, we are headed to the Brevard area in January, and if it is not too cold or snowing, we hope to visit several of these just to view and make some pictures. This will be a good list to follow!!!

Have fun! I'm sure they are just as beautiful in the winter. In fact, they probably each have a certain beauty in each season. Enjoy!

We love waterfalls! We have been experiencing Georgia's top waterfalls. I love this list- we have actually not visited more than 2 waterfalls in NC. I love the large cascading ones -dry falls is intense- I think i would love this area also.

Waterfalls are so neat. I love that one you guys did - Ruby Falls. Beautiful! And yes, Dry falls was really neat. I love the shear force of water coming down.

Nice overview of the waterfalls in WNC. I like the amount of info that you put in and how you categorise the different falls. Beautiful footage as well. Geocaching is a great way to find hidden gems. 😃 Thanks for sharing!

Glad you enjoyed it! We wanted to showcase the falls with extra info for people that don't have time to see them all. :) And yes, we love geocaching for that very reason!

Many of the waterfalls in Highland are viewable right from the road. I would highly suggest Dry Falls as it's a nice paved path all the way to the bottom and even behind the falls. Happy exploring!

I think it's called a few different things. Look for Paint Creek Recreation Area. We went to Hot Springs NC and hopped on River Rd heading north along the French Broad River until the road ends. Then turn right onto Lower Paint Creek Rd. Dropped pin maps.app.goo.gl/VN11aBDhG6cLqYkE8
