The fans were illegally trespassing (everybody is told in every arena to stay off the court at all times) and the fan that clearly got tripped was heading towards him to taunt before decided to vear off at the last second and act like he was trying to avoid Flilipkowski just as Kyle stuck his leg out. Self defense in NC. If anything serious happens to fans or players in a court storm It's 100% on the fans, security and A.D. Fans can't trespass on property they were told not to be on, then complain if they get injured as a result of what happens. And probably a good idea to stay away from opposing players and coaches

The kid even tried to go around Filipowski by being on his left foot which was farthest away from Filipowski, while running directly straight not even leaning forwards him….watch Filipowski right foot. He literally reached to trip the kid, that’s on one foot, his left foot (the farthest away from Filipowski) and tripped him and shoved him. If you watch the student was about 75% past Filipowski before impact. It’s like your going straight and then you get hit in the side. Whos fault is it?

Argue all you want, but in football and basketball, you should be able to get off the field and then the fans can do what they want. When it’s your home team, we always say it’s OK, when we are away, let’s protect the players. Both the student and the athlete can get hurt. This needs to stop! You sound like somebody that would blame a ref if he makes a bad call and gets hit with an object that a fan throws at him as a result of that bad call. Fans stay off the court like they were told, this doesn't happen either
