I had no idea this was our Black Anthem This is so beautiful. What others don’t know and don’t understand we come in all shades, I’m mixed race. God Bless us all, and what my mom use to tell us, you have mix races, but if you remove the skin and hair from every human we all will look the same inside, you couldn’t tell one race from another, we all belong to God, and we all are human.

This song is so beautiful. I first heard of it about 2005. James Weldon Johnson had also been given a position in the U.S. State Department under Teddy Roosevelt but sometime later Woodrow Wilson re-segregated the US government.
