Or if your missing 1 ability at least come close enough that it would be better than the original bulldozer until you had this one put together? Edit: wasn't thinking about the grace at the end being missing it might be a better starter set though until you farmed the grace

Hey man I’m super confused on what I’m looking for when farming the monkey. Do I look for anything that has a grace? Can the set bonus mitigation pop up on any armor where the grace would be? Or is that grace only found on the crossbows? I’ve been farming the monkey looking for 5 star variants of my armor but you know how that is lol

Incredible Build as always. Love your Builds. Usually don't copy them because I guess TN has a specific Person watching what you create to nerf the shit out of it. 😅 I currently play the polaris hammer. It has the golf swing on in. Earth/Fire virtue. Gameplan is burning flamewave into imposing slap. Than boulder glide. Either element is triggered or they are out of spirit -> golf swing. I like the gameplay even though it is not as strong as guding of course.

If you get hp recovery on melee attacks and spirit fervor on hp recovery on your accessories you get near infinite spirit while spamming your martial art. It's not really needed since fatal strikes refresh spirit but it's pretty nice if you get smacked out of the attack and staggered often

I just got an hp recovery accessory with haste with the set I ivory dice kinda bummed it wasn't spirit fervor but I'm gonna find an accessory with fervor on recover its wild the uptime

I made a ranged/ice build using the two armor sets that give ammo recovery per shot with the guardian spirit that gives ranged damage. Got it up to 40% chance to recover ammo alongside a good amount of damage for ranged. Thought it'd be fun to go through missions mowing enemies down with a repeating crossbow then gaining 3 shots or so per fatal strike. Feels underwhelming though and the martial arts on the weapons for the build are very lackluster.

So am I doing something wrong I got to ng+ to make this build farmed all of the armor and bows I needed same graces and everything put all the embedments you have and I can barley scrape 1700 dmg with the punch. The only thing I did different was I went with earth because I had not lighting enchantment. Any help would be greatly appreciated

If you want a little more damage to min max this build...drop amplify damage for venom snare, infused your weapon with ice enchant...cast venom snare first, apply ice with the first charge, apply lightning weapon, charge again to apply lightning, then fatal strike, punch...it'll be 2 extra debuff on the enemy for extra damage since ice poison and lightning stack.

Builds nice. But in the game I noticed everything is basically viable. As long as you focus on a certain aspect like accumulation, sustainability, magic, spirit, martial arts, or damage. You hard focus one of those then sprinkle a little extra of the other attributes you’ll have something worthwhile.

How will this fair against heavy armor humans? The previous buldozer build while effecting against enemies like Lu Bu, they would just tank through the charge and still hit you and if your unlucky, a red attack which insta kills.

I found it out myself that the Guding Blade is op. All other martial arts suck vs this one. I've got a well round build with a small peak in fire. It works, but not as good as this one here of course. I'll give it a try.

So damage bonus affixes aren’t worth anything in this game like they are in nioh, huh? Like damage or spirit damage bonus (light equip load) or (heavy equip load)? Or damage/spirit damage (element) attack power? Is melee bonus really just straight up better over those? Even if you stack lightning attack and use spirit damage bonus (lightning attack power) A?

@metalworld: I’m trying to get confirmation on this as well. In Nioh, Damage Bonus (x) on the weapon was the definitive dmg option. Trying to establish what that is for Wo Long. I’d rather imbue an element on the second hand weapon, then weapon switch/counter attack with a heavier hitting weapon with the higher dmg potential.

I am missing something (and sorry for my average english.) Can you please explain me how toxic attack power apply while your weapon is not imbued with toxin enchant ? I dont get it. Or it doesnt apply at all with your melee attacks but only with toxic spells ?

the latter, only effects the punch. elemental atk power doesn't effect wpn dmg, only imbue or spells. so if you want punch to be as strong as possible, you need toxic atk

Just curious: in Nioh 2, one needed to beat the game on NG+ (actually kill Otakemaru on NG+) to start getting Yasakanis to drop, right? Is it the same in Wo Long, where you would need to actually beat Blind Boy on NG+ before the -1 set bonus affix could roll? Or am I just overthinking?

don't need. i haven't even unlocked chapter 7 yet in ng+, however, there isn't a guaranteed drop like they did in nioh...2 i think? i think everyone could get a yasakani by beating last mission on ng+. here, that doesn't exist pretty sure.

I like doing debuff on enemies, then i saw this vid of throwing punch to enemies. I never knew that punch skill until i saw this vid. Now im CANNONBALLING all enemies after doing a fatal strike,. Waiting for that perfect moment when they get up. ENEMY DELETION COMES FORTH.

I have : set bonus requirement mitigation - on a 5 star bronze polearm mace. Was my first 5 star drop. It doesn't work tho. I have to still run 4 pieces to get the 4 PIECE SET BONUS on armor I wear. I thought with this, I could/should be able to wear 3 pieces and have a free slot with the 4 PIECE SET BONUS still being active due to the -1 piece needed to activate the set bonus...?

its a dumb system. basically you need 2 of a piece to activate. so really, every 4 piece bonus, is a actually a 5 piece bonus. so you would need 4 pieces AND a -1 to = 4 pc bonus. its dumb. but also, idunno, maybe other -1 effects on other gear is bugged. ranged wpn worked tho.

@@PWARGaming yeah bro. I'm used to the confusing requirements etc due to nioh and many other souls/rpg/rng games. I fully indulge into all of them. I got a very intricate mind and it feeds my brain what it needs to feel busy. So many faults but quality traits as well. I don't wanna complain thom but damn it's being hard to get a grave build built. Thing is, I'm good at the game. Have no troubles at all. Understand it and have a few good builds made. In ng+ focusing more in elements and CERTIAN builds to do serious damage. Anyways. I think it might be bugged for me? I've Tried multiple 4 set pieces. All the armor slots. With the -1 requirement on the weapon. Only gives me 4 PIECE bonus. Not the V / 5th one. I tried adding all pieces. 4 armor. Even the weapon/guding blade with -1 requirement weapon. Got the V bonus then. But that's cos it is 5 pieces. I'm irritated I can't reach 5 set bonus with 4 pieces with this. I can't explore it more cos only have it on the 1 weapon but its making things more difficult to build and actual setpiece build !

Does it have to be on a piece apart of the piece I'm aiming to make the set bonus with? For e.g.? My GRACE of it is on a weapon called : bronze polearm mace. That weapon obviously isn't apart of a set. But then, how can it be cos it has the grace? Can something have a grace and set bonus as well? I hope this makes sense. Also , I got a couple other 5 star weapons and armor etc... how come fully upgraded, everything is pretty much substantially weaker. My 4 star dual halberds have over 600 attack power. I got a 5 star polearm and mace etc.. fully upgraded and under 400 attack power. Wtf! Every 4 star I have does more. Also, which martial arts place on a weapon is random? The 1st/top one or 2nd/bottom one? Can you get 2 yellow martial arts on a weapon?

You need to complete enough Misions to unluck the next chapter, and as far as i know you need to farm the boss

you can get pieces randomly anywhere but if you want direct pieces for 5 stars you're gonna have to farm him unfortunately. personally i'd leave that junk behind till they update with new missions to farm more easily. as for unlocking, its based on the # of missions you completed, so more missions done = more progress for that circle thing altho it's not as clear as nioh's progress bar was for knowing how close you were to unlocking next region

Have you tried the stone spell Fiend Vanquisher??? It's acts like guding blade how it stuns locks and pushes humans. I made a build focused on that and I literally run through humans. Even in fights against more than 1 human boss you can separate them with this spell just by pushing them around. So much fun plz I'm telling you it's amazing!.

Its up to you, it also depends on what armor type you get since lingbao set is random, if its more heavier go into earth more so you not ends up on the red weight

The build already has tons of toxin damage. Slotting lightning enchant adds another status for the 6 piece set bonus, adds more stun and spirit damage, and makes it so you don't have to waste a spell slot to get the same effect.

as other person said, status is better. but also, i think someone tested dmg bonus numbers and they weren't good. maybe 5% at tip top best? so barely more than 3-4% of other dmg stats, if even more, i forgot the exact %

the stone spell? it should give you a dmg reduction still yah. i've seen most use the normal early stone armor spell tho, probably cause you don't need to be in range like roar

Question about the stunlock variation: if you don’t use calamity, is there a point in having toxin attack power on your gear? Or should you switch to lightning / stone to match the weapon enchantment instead?

yah if you don't wanna use calamity, can be replaced with status focus if that's your goal. keep in mind "element attack power" does NOT increase the wpns dmg, only spells, and maybe, status accumulation, unless you get a dmg stat that scales dmg based off ele attack power on the wpn, but you'd lose enchant and be forced to use imbue wpn spell.

@@PWARGaming This so much this. Nioh 2 was already pretty underwhelming compared to Nioh 1 and the only answer was Versatility until they actually buffed up other methods in DLC 3. This one it's not even worth running sets. I mean come on sub 10% for a 5 piece bonus? I'm really hoping they are keeping things heavily muted right now to avoid late game power bloat or something because yeah it's going to be really boring come way of the whatever the last difficulty will be named. I'm having fun with this game but yeah the itemization is really really lacking right now. Also have you messed with the flying ursine mace? It has a martial art very similar to the guda blade. The only difference is it can be interrupted and I'm curious if that's just the martial art or me.

yup thats the idea. with only 4 spell slots I don't think imbues are worth it, and they last too short anyhow. should be 10-15 sec minimum, not 5.

well luckily everything else aside ominous chill seems pretty "balanced" so i figured i crammed the good stuff here as a target dummy while we sneak away with solid builds that can do okay still

like father like son quest is your best shot. or just raise sun jian reinforcement to 10 to get the blade and his set, altho it'll only be 4 star, but good enough to use to farm faster to get 5 star version

I literally just made the same build an hour ago. The only difference is I use the Lu bu weapon and guding weapon. Got lucky with accessory. Got heal on melee damage A- and power gain on recovery. Yea hitting from 3-4K as well lol

@@PWARGaming so it’s the highest damage weapon I have with over 650 damage upgraded to lvl 9. It breaks spirit fast and the martial art imbue your weapon with fire. It give me room to use attack bonus A on flame power instead of enchanted elements

@@EDMVNDEE I deflect then hit once then immediately do it. Or I do after I inflict a status effect on enemy one the get stunned

@@EDMVNDEE the martial arts for Lu bu’s halberd needs to be done in blue gauge if you want to use it properly. The inputs can also be held down if you wanna run around with it, it’s pretty fun.

Bro I’m just new in the game, currently in part 4. What does this “grace sets” means? And how do you get 5* gears or is it exclusive to NG+?

only in ng+, it might drop on final boss mission but not worth it. check out the first form in pinned comment or endscreen for a ng version.

In part 4 too. Still rocking the same gear I picked up it's 4 star gold but never the less I'm lost at al lthis NG stuff

Grace can come with any 4* or above item that's not already in a set. Having the full 6 pieces of a grace provide some special buffs. This is exclusive to NG+, same as 5* gears.
