There is also a massive focus on loot and gear, which creates a problem that was also present in Nioh- equipment management. Inventory screens are just a jumble of numbers and minor percentages that don’t really affect gameplay that much from what I could tell, and only serves to confuse and overwhelm. If you like micromanaging stats down to the smallest percentage, you’ll love it, but I opted to pick the largest numbers and dump everything else.
Ultimately, Wo Long: Fallen Dynasty is a fun Soulslike that, while still providing a challenge, will be a breeze for seasoned Soulslike players

Nowadays people find flaws in everything. Just the way it is. This ISN’T Nioh 3. People keep thinking it is. Complaining about stances and shut when it’s a different focused game. Sekiro wasn’t Dark Souls the same way this isn’t Nioh. Stances, imo, we’re a distraction as far as that goes. Then people complain about TOO MUCH loot after complaint about not enough options. Tired of this spoiled society. Play Nioh 2 for another 1000 hours of this isn’t for you

Dont f believe it.. it’s not easy. I’ve platinumed bloodborne and Elden ring.. sekiro.. but after 8 hours it’s frustrating because for some reason they put the dodge button on the same as deflect. As well as the devs desperately pushing you to use deflect, even over actually attacking. This is because after a few hits your “spirit level” (energy) depletes and your left open. Problem is you are gassed too easily. Few hits and a dodge and you’re left open. So it’s better to stand there and deflect to immediately get energy back. It’s very frustrating.

The demo was really fun, it's all about deflect. Super addictive loop. I have game pass but I'm gonna buy it for PS5 (I have a feeling I'm gonna wanna own this one)

The game is fun. For someone who’s played almost every souls like game, this one feels different in a good way. Not as hard but combat is fast paced and fun. I’m surprised this game isn’t getting more recognition. I haven’t been bored once playing this

despite its flaws the overall meta score is a number more forgiving at 8, indeed the same score as Nioh 2

Nice review. I do think 7 is a fair score. This isn't, in my opinion, a game created to go anywhere above that. Now all they need to do is put the price tag at like $40 for this particular one, and it would be a deal.

This is definitely a buy on sale game for me. It's really not that exciting from what I played on the demo and I'm a huge Nioh and Soulsborne fan.

Seems like a good place to get into the genre if it’s a bit easier than other games like it, I’ll definitely pick it up at some point

Tried the first boss 100 times and couldn't pass it haha I just gave up , life is too short haha but the game looks insane 👌

Ehh.. I really wasn't massive on it. Spent ages on both nioh games alone, and of course the souls games. Though ironically, this game just felt hard to me- I'm not sure if I didn't click with the parry, or it wasn't very responsive.. All I know is that I can still give Isshin a run for his money back in Sekiro.

Its a trimmed down Nioh that tries to expand on the combat by adding elements of Sekiro while also doing something a little different. The demo was a ton of fun so if the rest of the game is anything like that then it will be a good time for me. I have 500 hours in Nioh 2 and could not tell you what the hell that story was. If this game means that we will get a Wo-Long 2 that expands one this game the way Nioh 2 did for Nioh 1 then I could not be happier.

Downloaded the demo. Took me a full evening to beat the first boss, the other bosses after that were a cakewalk. Beat them in max 3 tries.
