That is very cool. I have done this with my Kenwood TH-74A using the kiss TNC. Thank you for sharing I had not thought of using RPI direwolf via bluetooth. Cool.

I don't understand, can this connect to a Winlink server on HF? I have been using VARA.

So it seems like WOAD supports HF using VARA but what is the point, if VARA only runs on windows? Is there any way to run HF without a windows machine?

maybe with a raspberry pi with wine running on it which then runs varahf? idk if that works but i agree.. thats not really nice. but the problem here is vara, not woad.. it just doesnt support android sadly.

im confused, with WoAD should you only need that and a radio with cable. what dose direwolf or digipi do?

woad connects to direwolf, which drives the radio

@@groundzero. I don't think so, no. if using VOX, you'd have to get audio to the mic of the radio somehow. how do you do that with just a phone?

To answer this question yes you can depending on the radio, I used a cheap uv5r with aprs cable and it works just fine, you do have to change a few things in the ask settings
