I think that studying the beginning of the restoration of the gospel via the Doctrine and Covenants this year is also preparing us for the finalization of the restoration that is occurring.

Thanks for pointing out these words from Pres. Nelson's introduction to the proclamation. I felt the spirit so strongly as I heard this again. I love the bold humility with which he clearly states that he has been commanded of the Lord, illustrating that not only is the Lord in charge and that His return is near, but that the established pattern of using a prophet as His mouthpiece is alive and well today. Where else do you see this kind of authoritative speech than in the our church? Where can you find a church leader invoking priesthood keys, the same keys given to Peter of the New Testament? Where else shall we go to find the fullness of restored gospel? No where. We belong to the Lord's true church on the earth, people. Believe it!

When this came out I felt that it was a fulfillment of the prophesy that the gospel will be proclaimed to the whole earth. ✔️

🤯 .... I never looked at it that way!!! I had been feeling a little cozy in my current place because I felt like we had a long way to go before Muslim countries and China would allow the gospel to be preached there, so there was some wriggle room before I had to really buckle down and get serious about my eternal progression. 😔 Now it feels like time is Really short!! What stood out to me was the word "accelerate" word meaning: to move faster to gain speed...things gonna be happening thats going to make heads spin.

This is very very cool Kaitlin. Thank you for sharing. The Lord doesn't use a charge very often but in special circumstances. I am so glad President Nelson shared a bit about how the Lord feels about the Restoration, the Gathering, and the Second Coming at this time. Excellent work

One day every knee shall bow and tongue confess that Jesus Christ is Lord to the glory of God the Father (Philippians 2:10-11). Even the nay-sayers and non-believers. I am grateful for the restoration, modern day prophets of God, the scriptures including the Book of Mormon which truly is inspired of God and another testament of Jesus Christ, and for the restored gospel of Jesus Christ in these latter days as a beacon and source of truth. Jesus is coming soon!!! This proclamation was important, and it was given at a most important time. Look at the accelerated rate things are happening in the world. And look at how more often we are hearing from the leaders of the Church. What a blessing!

Nephi ended that with saying he couldn't finish but John the revelator would. So according to president Nelson, and Nephi and John, we are in the apocalypse.

Everyone keeps sayin “soon” or “he is coming” that doesn’t mean much unless it’s narrowed down. Everyday that goes by we are closer to his return. I’m just curious what your thoughts are regarding soon.

On the Keystone Channel on KZbin, he had the chance to interview Brad Wilcox about Mercy vs Justice. They were discussing 2 Nephi 25:23, "... for we know that it is by grace that we are saved, after all we call do." At one point, Brad explained that he's always understood it to mean, that we need grace, cause, what can we really do (on our own merits)? Then at one point he explained "Loyalty! It's about Loyalty, not works. He can work with weakness, but there's little he can do about rebellion."

A Catholic acquaintance visited us in SLC, so we took him to Temple Square. I was standing beside him as we looked up at the Christus statue, and I said, "And to think that so many people say we're not Christian!" He turned to me and said, "You're not!" I was flabbergasted! Rather than say anything that would lead him to argue with me, I didn't even respond.

wow, different universes. That was the most important thing to you? That change was what your priority was? That's what now gives your life meaning? Pathetic. I'm glad that I have nothing to do with you. I don't want to "control" you (that's what you call it, right?) or any other woman, but I never want to meet you, and that's a blessing that I'm sure that God will grant me. Perhaps in the next life women will finally have the minds opened to actually understand men. BTW, don't join the military--their chain of command thing ain't you.
