As living creatures, I respect them and care about them and as an intelligent being, I am responsible for treating them well including how they are sacrificed so I may nourish myself and my family. When an animal is sacrificed, all parts of it should be used for the betterment of humans and other animals so I will wear and use leather non-ornimentally. I am absolutely opposed to killing for sport or for trophies even though those activities fund animal preservation efforts worldwide. Hunters must eat or donate the meat from their kills. I do not understand having dead animal heads hanging on walls. I can only love other human beings and many of them dislike me because of my attitude toward animals. Even if it wasn’t vegan, most vegans (at least the online communities I’ve been a part of) would just say “well that sucks, at least we all know for next time” the purpose of veganism is to reduce animal suffering as much as practical and possible, and if you mess up, you’re still vegan, since you’re still working towards that goal. I'm vegan but I don't think you can realistically expect the average person to go through a detailed analysis of every single product they happen to buy on a daily basis. I don't even think vegans do that anyway, there's sweat shops and stuff, most of the clothes and products we buy are completely unethical, nobody, not even vegans, put in that amount of effort to be ethical. I think the overall point of not eating animals is good enough as far as veganism goes, but we all have to have our own personal spiritual evolutions as well - vegans in general need to stop eating junk food as well, a lot of vegans are still overweight and unhealthy.

@divorcedme well no. Wearing leather, using non-vegan cosmetics etc. and not eating animal products is being plant based. Being vegetarian is eating dairy and eggs, not wearing leather, but wearing wool for example (no animals killed in the process, but it comes from an animal). Also as they mentioned in the video it isn't that simple. I started switching my makeup to cruelty free and vegan after over a year of being vegan, because I had no idea animal testing still existed and gross animal products like lanolin were still being used. Being vegan is a process and there is nothing wrong in making mistakes on the way.
