I was in New York and walked into a sneakers store hunting for rare Jordans. When I told the sales person that am originally from Kenya, he asked me if I knew Enda. To be honest I told him I don’t know that brand. To my surprise, he told me that’s a sneaker label from Kenya. That’s when I heard Enda for the first time. Unfortunately they were not selling the shoes in their store. But I was so proud to hear a Nike store salesman talk of Kenyan brand.

She said "If you create the opportunities, you find the people with the skills" . This goes deeper especially in African countries where opportunities are scarce but the Youth population and potential working class is steadily increasing. We need to create opportunities which would in turn motivate people to learn skills for available opportunities. An environment that stimulates productivity is bound to grow exponentially. Unfortunately there are multiple historical constraints impeding this structure in the African clime and we need to dismantle these constraints one at a time. Much love to this beautiful intelligent Kenyan entrepreneur❤

I was just saying to my mom that I can't find any black manufactured sneaks, and have been literally holding out for the right pair and here's Wode Maya presenting Enda Kenyan made kicks! Thank you sir! Shoes these days are expensive as heck, but if it's black manufactured I'm all in. Hat's too PLEASE for those wild hair days!

@@gibson2675 I agree 100%. People aren't creative, and copy, paste what's most familiar to them. I'd love to see more of this so that we have some options. However, the situation here is not as simple as you would expect it would be.

@Invisible But Strong Yeah, I kinda figured that out when she mentioned through crowd funding she was able to achieve this. The materials are apparently hard to source within the continent which is the problem. Maybe this is something to be focused on which of course will cost quite a bit. But if you know of any black owned athletic shoes, or even just a decent pair of shoes please share! We all need to know!

Donna I don’t believe you are a continental African. Please don’t impose ideologies on African continentals. Everyone knows it will fail and lead to a lot of violence. Europe can’t even unite and they are similar people unlike Africa.

@@mikothegreat140 Africa was always meant to be one and will be in time to come! Unity is the one thing needed for success. I don't want to see Africans needing visas to travel the continent and I want to see them using currency.

@@dgd865 my friend, please understand my perspective. i am eritrean, one of the founding fathers of pan africanism, haile selassie, invaded my country and since then it has only been in a state of continuous violence, poverty, and dictatorship. africa needs PRAGMATISM, similar to the leadership seen in botswana, not pan africanism. who do you think you are to impose one language, one currency, one identity on africans such as eritreans that DIED fighting and defeating one of Africa's giants at the time????? that is fascism. that is unacceptable.
@dgd8652 жыл бұрын
@@mikothegreat140 I understand what you said but I did not mean it in that way. What I mean is all African countries coming together to form one country so that they can use one currency and one passport with borderless lands. You can have a country with diversity and many different languages and cultures and still be one.

TWENDE KABISA should be your next brand sister!! Thanks for putting us on the world market! I watched an episode presented this week in which one miscreant spewed biased gabage that Africa doesn't contribute anything. Thanks for refuting that false narative! Asanti sana! I would exclusively run in this brand if I could order it on line. A website to market these shoes would be ideal!
