American white guy passing thru, your channel is incredible. These videos have completely changed my view of Africa; media here ENTIRELY misrepresents the continent. In school, we've learned nothing about modern day Africa. Keep doing what you're doing, much love :)

If you only get infomation by what the media or school says, one would be surprised that Africa has cars. National geographic and history great and all but when if come to other cultures, they hyper focus of one aspect of it. Generally the less developed and more tribal peoples. Even though there's modern aspects of these countries also.

The First President who was able to grow Ghana's Economy making 1 Ghana Cedis the same value as 1 U.S Dollor. During his term posts of Jobs were created. Most Ghanaian Diaspora went back to establish themselves in Ghana. He did amazing things for the Country. I thank God for his life
This is false. The cedi actually deprecated so much during his 8 year tenure from 2001 to 2009. He only did redenomination, ie removing four zeroes from the cedi. So our 10,000 cedis became 1 cedi. It's called redenomination.

He literally removed the zeroes and said the value is the same. 30,000,000 (3 million) cedis became 3,000 cedis. As long as we admire people, let's be careful about the information we spread. It might be out of good faith, but very misleading to the public too, and that destroys everything.

I am a Nigerian but I relate very well with Ghana and other African Countries because of your message and your vision to shine the light in our supposed dark continent. Thank you WodeMaya for your labor for our pride. I followed through your visit to Nigeria and I enjoyed the freedom and trust you showed as you practically felt right at home in our streets and enjoyed our space. I have followed your visit through several other countries in Africa. and I hope I can someday meet you and contribute to this message that we must send around the world. I am a proud African living in the USA and I love it. If you think there is racial injustice in the US, you can leave. I bet you can't survive the inherent evil and bigotry among fellow Africans either. We kill ourselves every day than perpetuated by any other race or system. Those saying leave the US because you don't belong there are the same people who queue up at the Embassy and still get rejected. Nowhere is safe so appreciate where you are and follow the law and you won't have problem with the system. I'm black, I follow the law and for the 11 years I have lived in the US, I have never had any encounter with the police and of course I love my Whites, Indians and Hispanic co-workers.
