I had to be away from crossfit for little over a month. On the return, yesterday, my mobility doing OHS was terrible. I'm hoping your advice helps me get back into gym without the disappointment.

Thank you for the tips in this video❤️👌can u make another about hip mobility?

Love watching your videos. My old CrossFit gym was amazing. We helped each other and encouraged everyone. Put each other’s weights away. I’m at a new place and it couldn’t be more opposite. What percentage of communication is non verbal again? Talk about unfriendly.

Any tips for someone who cant do a behind the head shoulder press due to shoulder injury? Can I just do a wide strict press or will I not be able to get into the same position?
@WODprep5 жыл бұрын
SamJKerr360 you wouldn’t want to do the wide grip from the front of your head. I’d try wide grip behind the neck. If you’re still struggling through the injury then shoot us an email (Ben at wodprep dot com) and we can link you up with our WODprep coach that specializes in working through injuries!

Do you mean the plates under his feet? Use anything that's sturdy enough to stand on!

Great video! What should I add to my program in addition to the overhead squat to improve my 1rm. I like the look of the banded ohs. Or any movements to increase strength around my thoracic Thanks
@barbi34992 жыл бұрын
So the transition of moving from front to back behind neck. Do u have any drills to increase the strength for that transition cuz I seem to lift but when I have to transition I feel scared to pass the bar to the back n then set up. Hope to get a reply. Without a rack
@WODprep2 жыл бұрын
I would just practice doing it super light and build it up once you have perfected the technique and got over the fear! Make sure you're popping it off your shoulders by driving your legs then bending your knees as you catch it behind your neck to help absorb the force. Hope that helps!

What bands are you using that attach to the rig? I’m looking at the TRX, but they appear to share a common mounting point. Thanks for the video.

There are so many conflicting theories on external vs internal rotation of the shoulders.

You had me all the way up until you suggested s behind the head press
@WODprep5 жыл бұрын
Tylor Streett try it! Keep the weight light and you’ll seriously feel the difference.

@@WODprep I hear what you're saying and understand the intention, but every PT I know suggests against this as it puts the humeral head in an impinged position at the bottom of the movement, and the broader your shoulders, the worse it can be. It's not a question of mobility at that point, it's a question of safe and appropriate arthrokinematics. I liked all the other suggestions, though, especially the PVC on the rack

@@tylorstreett7824 A very good PT I saw for shoulder issues said I should stop all overhead pressing. I did until my rotator cuff was healed.
