Can we address the , if your overweight issue and that maybe you shouldn't do any kipping yet just stick to the ground work. Hollow body and arch drills. Stick to ring rows and push ups at your level. Build up shoulder strength and cut fat to get closer to your ideal body weight before going to the rig . Maybe use bands relative to your weight if you really want to try the kipping. I suggest strict banded pull ups first though way before kipping and with 3 strict pull up pre requisite unassisted prior to kipping unassisted. Your. Shoulders will thank you later as I've seen a lot of people injure themselves and then spend mths recovering prior to returning to what I've advised at the start of this advise. Whens the right time or right BW is obviously a personal thing and if you have no idea then you should do your research and find out from experienced coaches. Not all coaches in CF are the same expect conflicting info. My take is you want to be within 5 kg of your ideal BW and have at least 6 mnths of regular min 4 classes a week of crossfit to build up shoulder muscle and ligament strength and conditioning. This advice goes for weights at crossfit. Build gradually dont rush into 1 rms in the first 12 mths of CF. Develop skill over Heavy. Be smart.😊 Im now into my 10 th year of CF and still go back to basics . Ben at Wod prep has taught me lot over the yrs listen to this guy and do the programs he has progressively you'll def be heads above others at your local box where the coaches don't have the time to teach you all these details Bens programs will teach you.

This is very encouraging for those of us who struggle to string together TTB anyway! I got the Singles! Gonna start working on the rhythm now in preparation for the open❤

Good show gentlemen. There is an old saying, 'once you know you have dry rot in your foundation, it is too late.' CF has dry rot in its private equity owned and operated foundation. It is too late. CF as we have known is dead. The only questions that remain are (1) will the affiliate model survive and (2) will the methodology survive? On a related note, I think the best way to save the CF Games is to completely remove any prize purses. Do not try to legitimize CF as a professional sport.

For me, I think it’s my wrist action. For some reason, the rope will get tangled up in my hand. It’s like my knuckles get in the way of the rope

This may be an older video, but I just started CrossFit and a lot of the workouts and motions are new to me. I find myself on KZbin practicing things over and over to get my mechanics down because during the class I don’t really have that. All that being said, this was a great tutorial for me to watch and practice along with!!! Lots of tips for us beginners and it’s very much appreciated!!!
