Awesome tips!!! followed it exactly as instructed. and smashed my PR!!! in 2019 (when i started crossfit) I did Grace in 2m40s with 95lbs and yesterday after using all your tips I smashed RX Grace in 2m27s. #quicksingles Thank you SOOOO much

It worked! I'm in my late 40's and the last time I did Grace it was 5.51 - I focused on just doing singles keeping bar close to me and making sure the clips were tight against the plates. I did Grace tonight at RX weight and got 4.43 PB. Thank you for the great tips 👍🙂

Not watched the video yet but can see this being a really good series idea. Do one benchmark workout every week for example 💪🏼

I like how you wear a red shirt when you are doing it WRONG, and a black shirt when you are doing it right. Subtle but I noticed.

Super helpful! Posted this video on our gym’s Facebook group chat! Rx 2:47, pretty sure my time a year and a half ago was closer to 4 mins!

Ok.. so not being a crossfitter but into all kinds of fitness for 30 + years..I used the push press and lowered the bar down each rep and got 3.36.. (from your expert advice i might even have broken 3 minutes if i dropped the weight) not bad for 52 years old.

PR'd and got 2:21! Beat my old score by 3 seconds. I ended up doing 22 single reps. I would have been faster and more consistent if I had just did all 30 reps in singles. This video definitely helped!

The first time I did grace I got time capped at 10 minutes, and I don’t think I even did rx weight. Two years later, showing up consistently, and coming up with a solid game plan, I did this RX in 3:35. Goal would be eventually to go sub 2!

great stuff- ive subscribed- im a newbe...do you think there would be benefit in 25 singles and 5 unbroken at the end - using the last of your energy?

good tips! always surprising to see how fast are singles compare to series + resting in between.

Ben, another great video. I had a good LOL at the 3:24 mark where you did the "too much weight" demo. While that looked true to reality, I'm sure doing that was challenging in some interesting ways. Question: I can do several C&J at 135#, however the time to finish is too long for my goal. What would be a good strategy to get faster? Would it be to keep 135# and keep practicing until I can complete it under 5 minutes (example), or would it be to do a lighter weight (say, 95#) to finish under the time goal, then increase 5-10# each workout attempt (again until keeping it under the time goal) until I reach 135#? Hopefully that isn't too convoluted of a question!
