keep in mind that you are hearing stage sound for a band using in ear monitors. The little bit of music (that isn't drums) that you hear is the sound from FOH.

Very refreshing to have this metalcore come back and shine again. I like Courtney, but Spiritbox and Sleep Token aren't quite scratching it for everyone when it comes to metalcore

Eso hace más limpio el sonido sobre el escenario. Así no se mete por los micrófonos de voz y drum

Have direct inputs for guitars makes traveling SO MUCH easier for touring musicians. Also, it will almost always sound better than amps

Drummer is terrible
@LessOfMyselfToKill_18711 ай бұрын
Drummer is sloppy as fugg. Guitars sounded meh. Couldn't hear the bass in the mix or any of the samples. for such an easy song to play (Esp on Drums) the sound wasn't where it should be! I wonder if they will play anything off Numbers bc that drummer is gonna have a hard time if he cant play a 4/4 poppy song on time.
@LessOfMyselfToKill_18711 ай бұрын
@@mrwhyde No need to apologize dude you need to make sure all that stuff is spot on during sound check or what I do is bring extra everything! When you play without IEMs for years like myself (bc back in the late 90s early 2000s all you had was straight monitors if you were lucky) you got to train yourself to be a human metronome. I still play with only one IE in esp if I'm playing anything technical. Most of the bands I play with don't use a click live like Elliott Hoffman from Car Bomb he doesn't use a click track live or in the studio bc when you've been playing for that long your the human metronome everyone is following you! And it feels way better when you can just have a 4 count with actual sticks knowing you're leading and if someone fcks up it's them not you lol Everyone uses different techniques live. When you play the shit out of the songs until you can play them just by feeling alone you get better results. That's just coming from someone who's been on the road since I was 14 and getting to talk to a lot of drummers and see how they do things. That's how I found that having one ear in and one out works best for me bc you can't rely on those all the time bc they do shit out at least if you have one monitor with just guitars on the side helps A LOT! And if I had to give any advice practice your setlist at least an hour a day before the show and it will make you so solid that you won't need nothing but muscle memory to play!

All youre really hearing is drums. Guitars are out front cos it seems like theyre running kempers. Thats why some stuff sounds off. Cos theres almost a lag effect happening from hearing drums right there but guitar being “farther away” If that makes sense
@LessOfMyselfToKill_18711 ай бұрын
@@Diebold410 he said he was having trouble with his IEs I didn't start using In ears up until 5 years ago but I always make sure there's a guitar monitor next to me just in case so if I have any problems I take them out and can hear the guitar in the monitor for backup. But I've been using the monitor I have for back up before in ears were a thing. 20+ years playing live and being a sound engineer I know what I need at least for me. But I make sure I memorize the songs to a T because the band has to follow me so if I mess up they are gonna let me know. I've been playing with the same guitarist for years so we click with just eye contact. But I'm constantly running through songs on and off stage so there's zero difficulty on my end.

@@LessOfMyselfToKill_187 you and i have a similar formula. Im at 16 years myself. Its funny how its all just learning shortcuts how to troubleshoot and practicing an excessive amount lol. Hopefully we cross paths someday!
@LessOfMyselfToKill_18710 ай бұрын
@@Diebold410 I've been playing live shows since I was 12, professionally 24 years and have come up with every solution possible bc in reality the band is depending on you! so you have to have all those extra back pocket things just incase something goes wrong! I've had heads break, no in ears, mics blown out, cymbal stands fall off stages ( I always play monster kits this was before i got my custom rack system), pedals break, you name it its happened lol. And having OCD I learn from those mistakes and now prepared for anything! The younger generation has zero clue what its like to play a show without all this new technology they have today! it was have your shit set up under 5 mins and get ready to play (Unless you're headlining) now I have these clamps built into my rug and everything snaps in I have extra snares, mics, stands, hardware, skins, my drill gun for fast replacement, pedals, cymbals, IEs, triggers mounts, and my good ol Monitor that is right next to me just in case. I realty think every drummer should have these things. Ep on tour! Not everyone has a drum tech so you really got to have you ish down to a science! And I'm sure well cross paths if your in the touring metal scene In the US there's no doubt about it. you also almost have the name of one of my favorite drummer David Diepold that dude is a killer drummer! You should check him out if you never heard of him! Cheers!
