New Covenant Whole Gospel: How many modern Christians cannot honestly answer the questions below? Who is the King of Israel in John 1:49? Is the King of Israel now the Head of the Church, and are we His Body? Who is the “son” that is the “heir” to the land in Matthew 21:37-43? Why did God allow the Romans to destroy the Old Covenant temple and the Old Covenant city, about 40 years after His Son fulfilled the New Covenant promised in Jeremiah 31:31-34 in blood at Calvary? What the modern Church needs is a New Covenant Revival (Heb. 9:10) in which members of various denominations are willing to re-examine everything they believe and see if it agrees with the Bible, instead of the traditions of men. We need to be like the Bereans. It will be a battle between our flesh and the Holy Spirit. It will not be easy. If you get mad and upset when someone challenges your man-made Bible doctrines, that is your flesh resisting the truth found in God's Word. Nobody can completely understand the Bible unless they understand the relationship between the Old Covenant given to Moses at Mount Sinai and the New Covenant fulfilled in blood at Calvary. God is not now a “racist”. He has extended His love to all races of people through the New Covenant fulfilled by His Son’s blood at Calvary. The Apostle Paul warned against using “genealogies” in our faith in 1 Tim. 1:4, and Titus 3:9. If the New Covenant is "everlasting" in Hebrews 13:20 and the Old Covenant is "obsolete" in Hebrews 8:13, why would any Christian believe God is going back to the Old Covenant system during a future time period?

This is interesting to me because it touches on two major transitions in my own life over the last 10 years or so. After many years as a Christ follower (born again believer in evangelical terminology), in the last ten years I have come to a Trinitarian inclusion, sometimes called ultimate universal reconciliation position and I find that scripture fits so much better with that position, as well as the perception of God as love and His nature and character and His interaction with His creation. In the last year I have been moving from a partial preterist view toward a full preterist view. As I continue to investigate that position I become more convinced of it. Concerning preterism, the Olivet discourse as well as Jesus earlier words to His audience that some of them would not taste death until His coming in the glory of the Father, with His angels, in His kingdom and reward each according to their works. And after He later describes the great tribulation, the abomination, etc. His coming and the end of the age, He says that the generation that He was speaking to would not pass till all of those things were fulfilled. I know many claim that He was referring to some future generation that sees the things He spoke of. I don’t think anyone who look at the discourse and its context, language, grammar, etc. would say that Jesus was not referring to His own generation. One thing you mentioned was tribulation that was like never before or after. This was reported by those that have read first century history and the experience of the Jews in Jerusalem at the time. It is said that what happened to them was by far worse than anything the nation had ever experienced either before or after that time. A horrific time. Anyway since my theology has changed significantly after being exposed to these two positions and I have studied scripture, listened to and taught messages from it for many years, and then had such a dramatic change, I would challenge you to listen to all the other folks that are not in your camp to hear what they have learned. My life has been dramatically transformed over the last ten years and much of what I had strived for in my own behavior and relationship and fellowship with Father, Son and Spirit, in the previous years has simply happened naturally in my life. One last thing concerning humans being born in sin. It is my strong belief that no one has been born in sin since the resurrection of Jesus Christ. Scripture teaches directly or indirectly that when He became human in His incarnation that just as we all had been in Adam (without consent), He took us all into Himself as the Last Adam. When He died, we all died. If One died for all, then all died. We also were raised with Him and ascended with Him. Paul revealed in Athens that we are all the children (genos), offspring of God and in Him we live and move and have our being. We, in my opinion, became His offspring in His resurrection. John chapter 1, becoming children or sons (teknon) of God is an entirely different thing not related to being born again but reaching the time appointed by the Father when we begin to pass into adulthood. Anyway, such a huge and wonderful journey for me and I challenge you to at least try to set aside your current belief and reread the related scriptures and see if they say something different than what they have in the past. By the way, I like your style and presentation.

After Jesus finishes answering the questions of the disciples, He goes on to bring up a mystery that they had no clue to ask about. So, all of Matthew 24 is not Chronological. Even Jesus did not know when the Rapture would happen and that is why He brought up the Mystery about an end time event since touching on the end times.

I recently changed my view on this. Let's differentiate between the question of rapture and the question of salvation/hell. The rapture is removal of the church from God's impending wrath. In the Old Testament, when God meaded out His wrath, He did not spare any unbeliever, including children, animals, or even the land itself. That children in Sodom were killed by fire from Heaven does not mean they were sent to Hell.

It's not about the rapture. It was about the siege of Jerusalem that would occur in 70 A.D. Jesus was forewarning his Christian followers to leave Judea and flee to the mountains when they would see this begin. The reason he mentioned winter, women with children, and the Sabbath day was because all of these would have posed difficulties/obstacles to their leaving (the Jews would have prevented anyone from exiting the city on the Sabbath day, due to the pharisaic laws that would still be in effect). This does have relation to the great tribulation, however, as the siege of Jerusalem was the time marker that Jesus was giving in these passages for his disciples to know that great tribulation would have begun by the time of that event. He indicated that he would return immediately after the tribulation of those days, which we now still await.

I want to suggest that the rapture cannot happen before the Ekklesia has taken the gospel to the nations, as taught by the Lord in Matthew 24:14, Mark 13:10, Luke 21:24. This would be in fulfilment of the Great Commission-Matthew 28:18-20, in the building of Christ’s Ekklesia, comprising born again Jews and born again Gentiles-Matthew 16:18. I believe the progress of the gospel can be determined by the Bible being translated into the native languages of all the nations. This is how the gospel started on the Day of Pentecost, when the people heard the Word of God in their own languages-Acts 2:8. This has certainly been the case since the Reformation. To date, there remains about 20 percent of Bible translations to complete the work. And with the use of computer technology and AI, the work of Bible translation would surely be speeded up!Marantha.

Otter nonsense! Pastor Brian started out strongly describing Israel's affairs during the destruction of the second temple and noted correctly that bible prophecy always is about the Jewish people. But when he got to the tribulation period he jumped to our future contradicting himself. Obviously the tribulation period described in Matthew 24 is in the past. The seven year war against the Roman empire. The Great tribulation is the second half. From 70Ad until 73/74 AD. By the way tribulation implies going through hardship victoriously. Which means it is always inflicted by the enemy of God. Where the wrath of God described in Revelation is poured out by God which nobody can escape. That means tribulation does not = the wrath of God. God bless!
