The whole argument is hilarious to me because literally it’s a simple thing either something sells or it doesn’t either it’s popular or it isn’t. There is no Schrodinger’s cat type scenario here where it somehow is and isn’t something simultaneously. Lack of sales? First Descendant is Swimming in money. So is Zenless Zone Zero. Snowbreak is doing fine. Stellar Blade is mega hit. No Rest for the Wicked is doing a ok. And even on west-side we had BGIII What lack of sales are they speaking of?

These designers should be making 1-6 person team little indie games with tight budgets, low stakes and passion-driven goals aimed at a tiny but loyal niche audience. They should not be driving hundreds of millions of dollars of triple-a studio money.
