You have a monk, a pig guy, a fish guy, demons male and female, they have doll like demons from what ive seen in the journey to the west movies and you have a monkey king so tell me how the lore and game lacks diversity. Yea the mythology is insane. Wukong was technically a demon cos the deities didn't know his origin and only saw him as a sentient monkey. He's actually made from an origin stone (yes similar to an infinity stone in Marvel), which is indestructable even for Buddha, which is the reason I theorise the Buddha only sealed him for 500 yrs in 5 Element Mountain instead of killing him after he waged war in the heavens. Like bro was so crazy he decided to delete him own name from the books of Hell and give himself thousands of yrs of immortality by stealing endless elixirs and fruits of heaven. He's now known as Qitian Dasheng (齐天大圣/) in Taoism and Buddhism, Hanuman in Hinduism and ended Journey to the West by being promoted to the Victorious Fighting Buddha (战胜佛). I'm assuming the game will give a different story while bringing back all the familiar demons/demoness/spirits/deities in the original story/movie & show adaptations.

Technically Wukong if not for many know about this can be consider a "demon". Also in Chinese mythology, and it is not an accurate translation; most with a "demon" at the back of their title are male while the "spirit" at the back of their title are female. Example: Ox King Demon is male; White Bone Spirit and Spider Spirit are female. It would be better to show in Chinese but I am terrible at writing Chinese characters.

I happy the playstation is making it possible to write reviews on games that you can see in the store. Granted it's not gonna make all problems with reviews disappear... but atleast there's a way to make these review sites bleed more money.

Any game an ign reporter lables as "not enough diversity" might have its priorities set on gameplay or storytelling and may actually be decent ...... which means she should be happy as this is the first time an ign article has been fit for purpose in a decade or two 😅
