Another close family member is Professor Bolaji Aluko formally the Commissioner for Infrastructure & Public Utilities in Nigeria. She grew up in the top 1% in her country and was happy to reap the benefits that come with that position. For her to play the privilege card is bordering on ludicrous.

Her claim about 100's of years just isn't correct for Britain as before the 1950's the population was 99.9% white. Also I don't think match of the day ran for that long. We seemed to be heading in a direction the race wasn't something people thought about, but now it has become a career for some people it is all people seem to talk about, which seems do sad. As a white Scottish man from irish heritage who has family we're killed by the ira , my mother died when i was 7 my father was an alcoholic . I left school at 16 got a min wage job to look after my younger brother , sent 150 letters to different companies to secure a joinery apprenticeship. I live in glasgow and have experienced discrimination based on religious preference based on my family ties and glasgow being massively sectarion. I went on to start a building business at 20 with 2 employees only to have to start again after government covid legislation killed my business . I don't feel like a victim or hard done by but i certainly dont appreciate being called privileged based on my skin colour . Im probably in one of the most racist workplaces being a building trade surrounded by idiots on a daily basis and race based discrimination is near non existant today

But it's racist to question if she is the one who is over represented. That's white supremacy apparently. She doesn't however say that black people are just better at their jobs she just assumes that the people doing the job are good at it despite an over representation. She's like the Scarecrow in The Wizard of Oz, she now has a piece of paper from a university so she's smart.

I was visiting the UK and immediately noticed this watching TV. There are minority quotas at play and this results in their clear over representation. The only way to achieve this is to discriminate against ethnically English actors

You should get the job on merit . My husband who is a middle aged white man has been bypassed for promotion and a black friend of his got the job . He admitted it was because he is black
