110% My ex had an "activist" friend. A group of us went camping and he said he was gonna throw a rock through someone's windshield shield for a blue lives sticker. Dude later looked to his gf for praise for a social interaction with someone asking him where the bathroom was, then cried about it 10 minutes later. His gf actually said, "good job". Prior to this, he was ranting and said he wants to get paid to do nothing. I offered realistic options like learning to program, learning freelance CAD, stuff he could do at home. All that group liked to do was spiral down, I was the only 1 trying to be an adult and do something to make my life better.
