The screwed me as well. One of the producers (a woman) offered me money for a video of the show I had. I offered it to her, with the stipulation that a clip of my father on the show would also be used. Never received a penny. And they didn’t use any clips of my father (who, by the way, was prominently featured in the episode).

Small claims court is how you should go after them that way a lawyer does not get 30-40% & the tv network would look like idiots sending a group of lawyers in small claims to fight for $300 it would cost them way more than that for lawyer legal fees.

wadl is an independent station their not backed or owned by abc fox, cox, gannet, nexstar, tribune (most local stations are owned or backed by a major ownership company such as above) so they have very limited funding. coming from someone who worked as an intern at a local independent news station their not flush with cash after expenses such as salaries are paid. and alot of them heavily rely on unpaid interns who need the experience to apply for actual jobs. i know this because i worked in the news industry for 3 years
