I think a lot of the hate about T2 comes from people who are happy right now. It is the perfect sequel for Trainspotting. It was always about loss. Not just Tommy, but everything. Friends are somewhere else, your family dies, loved ones fade. Always trying to reach for some explanation... telling yourself you did everything right, kinda. And then realizing that they are still gone and don't care anymore. Choosing life doesn't make it better.

Aww, thanks! Danny Boyle made it possible by not giving that scene any underlining music and Wolf Alice's song has a loopable beginning so it was basically just begging to be done. Movie's ending scene being perfect fit to close the song was just a cherry on top. :)

I remember my first over dose: thought that little dance with death would scare me straight but it did the opposite. Sometimes, if I think about it too long…. My brother works for the company that designed the Posters For the Original movie. He was recently involved with the last Pink Floyd album. Train spotting soundtracks for both movies are awesome.

The one thing I've missed in this movie was Underworlds Born Slippy in normal speed after they've built up the initial sequence down pitched several times in the background. This would have been the most goose bumping effect in movie history. So sad they didn't.

Such a great continuation of the first movie. I saw the first one early in college. To see T2 so many years later age so many friends have fallen away for one reason or another.... it's good to know and cherish the ones who have sick around. I also think about all the people who grew up seeing Ewan McGregor as Obi-wan and always thinking of that part when they see him...not me. He's always Mark.
