This is so fantastic. I love that the shot is wide enough that you can see how the herd moves and how much ground is covered just in this short clip. Breathtakingly beautiful to see a single wolf hunting like that. Gives you an appreciation for nature. Wolves are such noble animals.

@Reginald Lovely technically there is no such thing an omega wolf or a beta wolf and if were being completely honest there is no such thing as an alpha wolf relatively speaking all of these only exist in captive wolf packs where unrelated wolves live together except for the alpha you could technically say they exist but they are really the parents to most if not all the other wolves in the pack

That wolf is trying to survive it doesn't matter what it eats as long as it can eat to survive. See some poacher hunters kill for pleasure and boast about how they killed an exotic animal so to have trophies. Though some hunters kill animals so they can eat. The wolf is not a murderer neither is a human when he kills a bull to eat beef. This is all the same thing.

You can see how much the caribou wanted to escape, and how much effort the wolf used to take down the caribou to finally have a meal after days,

people thinking wolves can't hunt alone or weak animals makes me see red, wolves are really strong animals with insanely strong bite forces and insane amount of stamina the only thing they are not as effective as big cats when alone is because -they are not ambush predators so they have no suprise element they attack head on and chase their preys while solitary cats just attacks when the prey is not expecting, in reality if you make both of them chase the prey without ambushing the cats would give up out of tiredness while the wolf would eventually catch it -wolves bone structure doesn't allow them to grab their hunts as you can see in the video, cats just tackle the prey and keep it on the ground with their front legs while wolves can't (the same reason they can't claw, they have very long claws too but 1-their arms is not fit for slapping motion and 2- the tip of their claws gets blunted out of friction they get when they run since they are not retractable) wolf in this video never attempt it to grab the prey just wait until the prey get tired and lost blood enough so he could attack the neck and kill it as easily as a big cat would, if anything i saw big cats taking longer to kill it with their bites while it took very short amount of time to kill once he was able to grab the throath with his jaws.
