I think Alonso would make a great Wolf Man. He could be a silver-haired Timber Wolf Man.

Consensus seems to be that it's not as good as Whanell's previous in The Invisible Man & Upgrade, would still be an interesting choice as Director (with Mike Flanagan's script) for the DCU Clayface movie.
@matheuslascasas13416 сағат бұрын
YES! I heard this somewhere and I thought it was just perfect. I just don’t know if Whannell is cool with directing stuff that he didn’t write. But yeah, it’d be a absolutely perfect match

Love the Maria Ouspenskaya reference. 👍🏼🤣

I think that making the family fractured from the start hampered any emotional connection we should have with these characters. The Fly was evidently an influence on Whannell. In that movie we always feel Geena Davis' heartbreak and horror as she watches the man she cares about become a no monster. In Wolf Man, i never thought that this family unit was terribly close to one another

A 5.3!? Dayyum, Ms. Christy! That's some Russian, Olympic judge scoring 😅😂

Werewolves are my jam, and I'm down for a straight up creature feature. As long as the characters are fleshed out ENOUGH, I'm good. I love the actors here and I'm a big fan of Leigh Whannell. Seeing it today!

I actually was planning on seeing this this weekend but I saw the reviews and got recommendations for One of Them Days and going to see that tomorrow instead.

I do want to see this, but I'll temper my expectations. I do want to ask, is this a case of the werewolf design being too much man and not enough wolf? I don't know why a good werewolf look has been so hard to pull off when it's been done well in the past.

Bland is perhaps the most positive thing I have heard about this Wolfman movie which stinks because I was hoping it was going to be as good as the invisible man. Maybe it was too high of a hope that they would knock out another great new take on a classic monster.
@marcusmoore767 сағат бұрын
It still could be good for you. Stop comparing it to the invisible man. I don't think that's fair to the director.

I was expecting the same abusive relationship metaphor as in the invisible man . the trailer made it look that way

Ah, interesting. It is not that.

I like the actors, so I've been trying to convince myself to go see this, but really, I can wait for it to be free to stream. I think it's just The Brutalist for me this January.

Thanks for giving this one an honest review. This was yet another movie where the early reviewers (from inside reviewers) who were talking about just how amazing this was. Well now…real folks are seeing this and saying it’s an ok movie is probably being generous. This movie was yet another Blumhouse dumpster fire and they yet again were getting industry plants to pimp out this movie. This movie was BAD. Full Stop - and as audiences we just have to stop rewarding these garbage companies (Blumhouse)

The movie was just, very simple? Like, everything was progressing so quick yet the movie felt rather slow. It didn’t really have a “shocking” moment with the transformation that you associate with werewolves, it was too grounded I guess?

Sounds like it's pretty okay if just for the creepy factor... strange things happen up in there

Good for January idk. For my birthday last weekend I went and saw Brutalist and Den of Thieves 2 both which I thought were a bit disappointing. At least I got to have brunch with 16 people and went to casino to see Commanders game. I thought this was alright but way too predictable trailer gave away the gist of it. Gonna go see One of Them Days and Grand Theft Hamlet tomorrow since I've heard good things about both despite not having much interest in either.

The 2 leads are definitely what stood out to me, both ok actors but miscast together. I don't buy them as a couple.

This was such a disappointment. I loved The Invisible Man and had high hopes given Leigh Whannell's involvement. I can see the parts of a better movie but the characters are so thin. A film this dull makes me appreciate what The Invisible Man and Cronenberg's The Fly do so well.

I didn't like invisible man at all. It was METOO, Lifetime nonsense. The director said his inspiration for the wolfman's look was the joker. Since when does a clown have anything to do with a wolf.
