A couple of you seem to think AI was used in the production design and locations. That’s Not the case at all. Brady Corbet said the only use of AI was in the pronunciation of a couple of vowel sounds in Hungarian that are difficult for non native speakers of that language(I know Brody, New York City born and raised, comes from a Hungarian background but that doesn’t mean he speaks fluent Hungarian, doesn’t mean he speaks Hungarian at all) And it was only during the Hungarian voice overs. Not at all used when Brody spoke English. Did that put anyone out of a job? No. Did it subvert human creativity? No. Corbet also said the Brutalist drawings at the end of the film were Not done by AI. The drawings were done by production designer Judy Becker and her team and the drawings were done by hand. You guys are making it sound like AI was used to create all the exterior structures in the film, and that’s just not true. I have no love for AI and AI used in art is a terrible idea. However, in this case, using ai to make a couple of vowel sounds so the Hungarian spoken can sound more authentic, in no way diminishes Brody’s performance or the quality of the film. The very minimal way ai was used here is comparable to an actor wearing prosthetics or CGI to transform their appearance. Like it’s done in every Marvel movie. This is an issue that’s being blown Waaaaaay out of proportion. And its frustrating that some people are going to latch on to this issues, regardless of what the truth is, just to shit on this film for the sake of having something to shit on.
