Cody Roberts is a good friend of my brother's and this sociopathic/psychopathic cruelty to animals is part of the culture in ranching/fishing/hunting communities. So is that story about SD Gov Kristi Noem killing her puppy because she disrupted the hunt. I have heard similar stories in Sublette County WY, where Cody & my brother live. Someone buys a cattle dog breed and trains it, then takes it out on a cattle drive, and if the dog doesn't behave as desired, they drive it down to the dump (working cattle ranches have them in that area), unload the dog from the back of the pickup and shoot it, then buy another puppy. People ask me why I moved away from Wyoming. I told them because it was not a good cultural fit for me. These stories of Cody and the wolf and Kristi and the puppy are prime examples of why it's not a cultural fit and why I'm estranged from that part of my family.

The culture in Wyoming is about worshipping and protecting cattle. Put pressure on the cattle industry and let them know you won’t buy Wyoming beef. The reason wolves are so despised in Wyoming has everything to do with the cattle industry. And the only way to get laws on the books to restore wolves to the Endangered Species Act is to target the big reason wolves are vilified through the state. It isn’t enough the cattlemen are reimbursed for their lost cows by the taxpayer; it really a cow welfare system. It’s time to make wild protection the top priority not cattle. Prosecute Roberts. The real question is: what else has he done?

Hard to watch. This hasn't anything to do with hunting, wildlife preservation, or defending from predators, it's plain and simple animal slaughtering and cruelty, committed by disgusting subjects. What makes it worse is how it got handled by the dedicated authorities. A combination of the lack of adequate laws and their enforcement and regions inhabited by abundant subjects that haven't been hit by evolution. I've seen both, high Swiss standards (wildlife highly protected, strict hunting laws and enforcement on a federal level, generally civilized people) and ugly Southern Italian realities (strong laws but lax enforcement, too widespread disrespect for animals, abuses, and cruelty, especially in rural regions and among older generations). Changes are badly needed.

The word lunatic came to my mind. His brain may even be different. I watched a documentary that showed that the Hatfields and McCoys literally had different brains. Watching the videos of him and the wolf pup reminds me of the animal shelter jails. The old style animal shelters are barbaric, many people don't even want to go in there because dingy bars and cages and stink and grossness. No colors, just creepy feeling. The animals are scared on their face, terrified eyes look like they just saw horrible bad things. I just saw the kill list for today at Apple Valley California Animal Shelter. 6 beautiful German Shepherds and a little yellow Lab puppy. Gordon Ramsay needs to start a new show call it "Shelter Nightmares"because the only thing they've been successful at is traumatizing communities with daily kill lists and eliminating anything that would cause them to have to actually do their job. They really should just close. Opening beautiful fun colorful animal shelters seems to be the trend right now. Those haunted houses of horrors will soon be only in documentaries of a messed up time in the past. That's what needs to die, not the dogs, they love being alive and bringing smiles, laughter and healing love to everyone. That's why they are called mans best friend. Good things are on the way.

What is he doing with his child(ren) in a bar drinking ETOH, in possession of a firearm, and discharging this firearm within the city or town limits to kill a helpless creature?
