I watched the work of many trappers from your country. I studied with them, now I catch it myself👍 thanks.

I have been doing the same thing, trapping wolves in Idaho is pretty new so I’ve watched how others have been dealing with them! Tight chains

Idk if you have a video on a double longspring trap mod, but I'd like to see one of those. Just got some Bridger #3 double longs for northern winter coyote.

How far do you set your shock spring from the trap & how long of chain do you generally run in these sets? Thanks from BC
@lobopropredatorcontrol2 жыл бұрын
The shock spring is down from the trap about 10” and I use 10 to 12 foot of chain on my wolf traps

Do you ever or have you had any experience using snares as opposed to leg holds? They seem way cheaper and you can put a lot more out it seems.
@lobopropredatorcontrol2 жыл бұрын
I have used snares but you have to be careful with them, they work best in my opinion on a fresh kill sight or a bait station. You don’t get to turn loose something in a snare
@Kephers72 жыл бұрын
@@lobopropredatorcontrol Gotcha. That makes sense. What kinda traps do you recommend for a beginner? Like a good setup to get started?
@lobopropredatorcontrol2 жыл бұрын
The Duke 850 or the MB750 are both good traps that are on the cheaper end of wolf traps and both are good traps

@@waynegraham7611 it was standing behind a elderberry bush when I first seen it, at first all I could see was it’s head and thought it was an owl in the bush until it walked out from behind it and went across the slide. It looked over at me twice never stopped and never ran just went across the slide into the timber. I looked for tracks and hair but couldn’t find anything!
