I gotta say Wolfey, your bond with Exeggutor is pretty damn strong and the fact that you managed to make it work at the World Championships nonetheless is a testament to that. ❤️ I’m likely a complete amateur compared to you when it comes to competitive play, but I got inspired to making my own team for the Gen. 7 Battle Tree years ago after first hearing how you managed to make Exeggutor of all Pokémon an utter success. My team focused around utilizing the Pokemon Kommo-O, which I had grown quite attached to from playthroughs and some online play using it. Watching you coming up with the right teammates for your Exeggutor reminded me very much of the steps I took to make my Kommo-O team absolutely wreck in the Battle Tree. It can’t get a 100+ win streak or anything (at least I haven’t tried to yet), but it’s able to reach Battle 50 in Doubles format and I’m proud enough for it accomplishing that feat.

My favorite thing about this is that Exeggutor was the third member of the psuedo-starter trio from Gen 1 that your rival would have on their team, alongside Arcanine and Gyarados. All three even had the same BST back then. And while both Arcanine and Gyarados have a long and illustrious career in competitive Pokemon and are even just considered cool and iconic in general, Exeggutor was completely forgotten to time, almost to the point that its placement alongside them feels totally wrong. I don't think you understand Wolfey how much me and my friends truly enjoy these videos. The high quality and good storytelling is really hard to come by these days. Thank you so much!
