Sir Wolfpack, I have been sick with a brutal head cold for the last 5 days. I started watching your silent hunter 3 type IX career from the beginning about saturday noon, and finished it last night. Wolfpack, I was the weapons officer on a Permit class sub during the cold war. I would have loved to take on the Moskva one on one. We said, they had 'Helen Keller' sonars. But good gameplay

The Moskva's sonar in particular was a really powerful one, especially as Soviet shipboard sonars went. If I remember right, it was pretty similar in capability to the SQS-26 most of our ASW assets used. A Permit that was specifically hunting a Moskva would have serious trouble getting through the Ka-25 screen and not getting picked up by the Moose Jaw, especially if the Moskva was somewhat aware and competently employed, even more so considering that it'd probably be pretty heavily escorted, being a flagship

There was originally 20 of this class planned but like you said with Poseidon sub launched continental missiles their range with helos was totally inadequate to counter them. Hence why the later Kara ASW cruiser and with the Kiev cruiser/carrier hybrids was built and brought out in the mid to late 70's. There also was another reason the Moskva and Kiev class looked the way they did with the whole hybrid cruiser and carrier builds, and it had to do with a treaty signed by Turkey and the USSR in the late 20's. That forbade the USSR from building battle ships and carriers in the Black Sea and allowing them to navigate the Bosphorus. But cruisers was fine.

This game missed hard on multiplayer functionality. Can you IMAGINE how fun it would have been if this game was played by Wolfpack, Jive, Jingles, and FPSChazly?! 😺😺😺 2v2 or for some challenge it could be 3v1. 3 surface ships hunting Jive in a submarine would have been awesome and the collabs would have driven traffic to everyone's channels.

Hey wolfpack, you seem to be a good person to go to with this, I have cold waters on my gaming laptop and i want to get Dotmod, but no matter what I do it just doesn't work, I've looked on my computer for everything that it says should be there on the install, but it isn't working. My laptop is a MSI running windows 11 just in case that matters. Anyway, good video, love the Moskva helo carriers.
