either luck, a trick of never sleeping, or another way. i used to have a wolf age 20 and played as one of their pups, made as the favourite out of all litters, just like him, raising pups, reaching age 8.

Good video! Ten years isn't only VERY old for a real wild wolf- it's difficult in WolfQuest3, too! The oldest WolfQuest Wolf I know Was an 15 years elder Iron Wolf. But 10 years is a long time, too! R.I.P. for your wolf :-)

well, it isn’t so hard since it is only two years off age eight, but it depends how people play. if they practically always sleep, they could probably easily die in their sleep. if they never sleep, it forces the game to never kill your wolf in its sleep unless it dies of another reason. i once had a wolf on age 20, but killed it later and started again just like that wolf on its pup. its fun seeing so many pups, but also a pain to do it all again and again sometimes..

It’s all luck based I believe. When a wolf turns 8 and becomes an elder wolf, they have a small chance of dying every time they nap. It’s true that most elder wolves perish around 8, but some lucky few can turn 9 or 10.

It’s from the Health Perception age perk. Wolves aged 7 and up can get it. Basically allows them to see the hp of an animal without biting.

My first mate on this ironwolf died when they turned 9 years old. Like the player, mates will die when they reach 8+ (elder wolf), and they may die before or after the player. As for aging up, you will be offered a chance to age up when selecting your den in Slough Creek after giving birth, you just have to make sure you complete the game. I've had three wolves die from old age. The first one was my favorite wolf Nightlight. I had him fall asleep and seeing what was in future for him. He ended up leaving Yellowstone in search of prey and he got his paw stuck in a trap. He ended up starving 😭 my poor boy the second wolf was Kiro which was Nightlights twin brother (I made both of them but wanted these two to be linked by making them brothers). He died peacefully while watching his pups playing. The third wolf was Ciok. He died while chasing an elk into water. He was kicked in the head and ended up drowning. He was 9 years old

Once you finish the “Loaf at the rendezvous site” quest, go to new game, click your wolf with its mate and make the map slough creek then you can keep repeating and get to age 8+

Hey, i'm late.. but WolfQuest: Anniversary Edition needs at least a good Windows 10 to run. Beware that in that version crashes are very expected and you need very low graphics. In higher, stronger computers, u can play on high graphics without worrying about crashing! It just depends on how old is your PC and it's version. Hope i helped!
