Danggg, I love that we'll have the chance to intervene with cougars and grizzlies at least! That's really going to be a game changer, and add some unique variety to the different predator attacks! That bear's persistence is really scary though-- after dealing with those dudes so much for that fight video, I've definitely developed a healthy respect for them, hah. Seems like it's gonna be real intense to have to go paw to paw with them here, and I'm both excited and terrified to see what new fights this may lead to!

Are we going to ever have a nip feature that allows us to quickly take away a small portion of health instead of always having to lock on when biting? When biting there’s a chunk of time for the wolf to latch and then a chunk of time until that latch actually does any damage. Being able to swoop in and nip might make avoiding hits a little more manageable

You can already nip them but it doesn’t do any damage. It does seem to help scare them off, however. You just bite but don’t hold on/keep spacebar pressed.

Aww yeaah, bring on the accurate mode pup raising and protecting! Slough Creek will be so much more interactive, immersive, challenging. Long gone are the days of knowing exactly where the herds and carcasses spawn at every moment, long gone are the days when a grizzly ran away after 3 bites, and long gone are the days of a territory that you could run across in 15 seconds. Very excited to see how raising pups will work out for us, and how different mates will affect pup raising.

I like how these predators behave when they try to snag one of your pups. It's a lot more interesting than in the old game where if you stand are for too long they fall over dead and the predators run off, or with the eagle is flies slowly towards it and then poofs. Keep up the great work!

The mechanic of predators snatching away your pups and you being able to stop them from getting away/killing your pup was something I really wanted! It adds a kind of tension the predators in the old WQ didn't really had. Or at the very least a chance to potentially save your pup if you weren't quick enough to get to the predator.

Ooh. I like the new death notifications. Specifically saying what the pup died from. Was there going to be natural born illnesses pups could die from? Could they get sick? If so, would that be notified too? I love it so far. Dang. I’ll probably cry with the stranger wolves and others going after the pups. Shaking them and dropping them. So sad 😭 Anyway. Keep up the great work. Glad we have an opportunity now to save them if they get grabbed.

Yess, i can see Crow and Poppy learning the new ways to chase all these predators away together!! I'd be the type to constantly be alert and near my puppies when they are out of the den- one of those strict parents. I'd use the musical cues to woof at my pups, so nothing catches me by surprise. Will it be possible to keep them in the den while we hunt? Also, will the coyotes be able to squirm into the dens?

Hahaha, the bears are going to be a nightmare now. I love that new AI for the bears. It'll make the bear attack a lot more fun. Also I liked that overview on what each of the predators motives are in the middle of the video. That mate AI with the bears is amazing as well. Also 1 question, Will sow bears with cubs come to your den to try to kill pups as well? Or will they come alone without their cubs?

Sows with cubs are very cautious about danger so would be unlikely to come around a well protected wolf den.

So uh.... My mate, Juniper, got killed by a bear. I got all my pups in the den and he just... went for it. I underestimated how powerful boar grizzlies were and kinda sat on the sidelines. He killed Juniper in 4 hits. Bold mates are very good, but apparently they don’t know when their target is too much for them.

20 minutes? It normally takes 30-50 minutes for me to finish Slough Creek. I've been also wondering about this, I wonder if we will still have the original den sites available in the same locations to reach rendezvous in that same amount of time.
