I like to think the Danger Motif in the back of Hold Them Down isn't because of the suitors threatening Penelope and Telemachus, it's because Odysseus is hearing everything... And he's not happy about it one bit

Apparently, he’s in the chorus at certain parts. I can’t hear it, but it aligns with the actual Odyssey. Ody was disguised among the suitors, then revealed himself.

By the way, I'm pretty sure Odysseus strings the bow and fires the arrow through the axes at the end of Hold Them Down. The arrow that he shoots is probably what kills Antinous. It's actually one of the most famous scenes of the entire Odyssey, and happens before Odysseus kills all the suitors. He's probably silently doing it while everyone else is singing, which would be super cool!

So some facts from someone who read the story in school and is a big fan of the book. The bow hooking Odysseus is there disguised as an old man so yeah, he heard everything after hooking the now. He then wrecks havoc on them. Now the first guy singing I'm glad he got snuffed out first. Great song overall.

I was waiting on that to be mentioned and I was waiting on the part as an old man, when they laughed at him and he shot his bow through everything they couldn't have. @@WolfReactsTV I did find that odd because I did assume there would be a song where that happens. I do know that was in a detail in the book though. That's my only complaint in the sense of that would be good extra song where he meets Athena disguised as an old man and they say "Athena sent me to cloak you. You're face will be shown, but no one will know it's you until the time is right." I do think some of this up for interpretation cuz maybe he was disguised but it was in a different way and then he shot the arrow through the main villains neck

To explain the timeline better: the war of Troy when he left was 10 years long. Most of the Odyssey took 2 years and then Calypso took the last 8. So thats why you thought it was 10, yes its been 10 years for the audience. But Ody was gone a whole 20.
