These two songs got me through an incredibly rough period in my life. I used to just come home, sit in front of my computer, drink, and listen to music during that time. These two are a couple of the songs that really lifted me out of my slump. I can't thank them enough for that.

Tolles Album, tolle Band.

LYRICS: When I wake up I find you're gone There should be grief but I feel none Trying to leave the night behind I hardly get my thoughts in line But there is one thing I could say It seems I'm glad... I find you're gone I find you're gone I find you're gone You know it's wrong, you know the way But do you really want to stay? A sudden thought, a thing to mind It would be only wasting time No matter how hard you will try It's just a feeling passing by I won't say that it's true That I'm here to stick with you You know, for me it's just a game And that you're not the one to blame

This song is not about being sad like some are saying. It is about disappointment, moving on (Destiny), and transformation to make that happen. He wouldn't say he wont be alone for long and how he should feel grief but feels none. It is about overcoming disappointment but also optimism about the future and the ability to transform and forget. I love how he is not willing to acknowledge her existence... worst insult to give.

The scene is mundane, and the subject slice-of-life, and yet this is the most interesting music video I have ever seen. The first half is actually telling the story backwards, then when he sits on the stool, we catch up with the present, and the scene in the background starts fast-forwarding. Brilliant. This is the Memento of music videos.

Destiny seems cruel at first, but in reality she's just trying to push us in the right direction. We may not know it at the time, or seemed to full of grief to care, but in the end all things bad will come to end and we will have joy once again. Remember that if you're sad at the people and things you have lost, remember that your sadness is caused because they've given you happiness. Destiny has only deemed their job done, but if you're looking in the right direction with the right attitude, you will find that this was done for something better to come along.
