Of course was covered in the video, but I just wanted to expand on it: I think what a lot of people fail to realize is that the reason a lot of these manhunt clips seem so fantastical is that there are a lot of outtake manhunts that the viewers never got to see, because they weren't good enough content. Dream confirmed as much himself in the same video the clip from 14:25 is from, that sometimes there are manhunts where he just has nothing all manhunt and dies in 10 mins, and of course that never gets uploaded because it's boring. Same goes for anticlimactic deaths: think back to all the times where Dream fell off a tree in the nether or burned for a while and lived with only half a heart. Well, there are certainly a bunch of times where Dream took half a heart more damage and died, for another boring video. As he said in the voice clip from 14:25, usually he needs some crazy luck to be able to win in a lot of these manhunts, and since a lot of the bad luck is cut out, this is why a lot of Dream's manhunt luck seems so crazy -- Dream's success in a video (and therefore the chance the manhunt is uploaded) is proportional to the number of crazy clutches he pulls off.

In 10:00 , I know what really happened. In Sapnap Live, Sapnap was reacting to manhunt 2 hunters, Sapnap said their relationship in that point of time was like joking, or trolling each other. So it means it isn't fake at all, it's George's fault.

Back in that version strenght potions were purple and not orange, they became orange in 1.19.3 and he was not playing that version. Maybe George didn't regnognize the potion but he expect it to be a strenght potion like last time.

Playing on a server does not give you more crafting time. The packet for the server to realize that you are far away enough from the crafting table to be kicked out definitely does have a delay before it reaches the client, but the same time is applied to having to OPEN the crafting table, which cancels it out. You can try it in game, which is why when you are lagged out you are unable to open a crafting table. On top of this, there is also a packet delay for the boat to appear in the crafting slot because crafting is also server-side.

The first one is absolutely ridiculous, I'm 99% sure it was faked. If you're on one heart, being chased down by 3 people who aren't very far from you, you don't drink a potion. I mean it's kinda obvious that sometimes the hunters just try to give dream slightly more space or time instead of following a script. They know they are recording a video and this make the content. They have this intention to create a circumstance in which dream could possibly do cool stuff and you don't even need a script for that. Also most of them somewhat suck at minecraft. For instance everyone except for Sam doesn't know many game features that could be used in manhunt, and many of them kinda suck at pvp. If you have played manhunt with some skilled smp players you'd know what I'm saying.😂 In the end all of these are for the video. The truth is most of the viewer simply need cool stunts. This is not a serious speedrun or competition. It's just entertainment and content is everything.

0:33 they just forget about it because they saw dream drinking a potion and its likely that they had low hp too. 2:00 dude never saw generation bugs 💀also there was a mineshaft nearby and the resourses that were in the chest are random. 2:50 it isnt suprising because dream already did tens of 200 iq things in the manhunt. 3:36 this can be a bug or a minecraft mechanic, a lot of youtubers tried to do this too, and it took longer time for them to craft a boat, but they were still able to craft it, and they were in single player mode so dont ask any questions about that. 4:36 this is just a good trick dude. 5:27 dude i think that hunters did put something like blocks or slabs, but when someone or something enters the portal all the blocks on that obsidian plate disappear to avoid problems where there were blocks on the plate and the player was just dying when entering the end, also, if someone who tries to kill you enters the end before you do it, its obvious that he will make a trap, the hunters were on the void side because, where else can they be? under the obsidian plate? also, i think dream knew that TNT can be usefull to kill the hunters. ima do more tomorow i think

My take is, I don't really care if they're staged. The manhunts are really entertaining, and some of these moments are impressive irrespective of whether you took the time to set up and practice a bunch beforehand or needed multiple takes, IE his MLG buckets, boat saves, etc. Plus, how do you fake jumping off a huge mountain and landing perfectly in a crop field? Or placing a tiny piece of ladder on a single block and landing perfectly on the side of the ladder so it kills your momentum? What about jumping down and cutting a leaf block with shears at the perfect time so you can plunge into the water below? Even if those moments were somehow faked, the amount of skill those moments took is impressive. And if they are scripting videos, they are DAMN good at it.
