I grew up in Buffalo so have a real soft spot for "Rust Belt" cities. My family just spent three days in NE Ohio and had a great time in Cleveland, Akron and Canton. Tons of stuff to do, see and eat. Downtown Cleveland is surprisingly nice.

Grew up on the South Side(now known as Tremont), 1 exit from Progressive Field, (downtown), W.14th Street, Lincoln Park, Tremont School area, too many landmarks + there seemed like there was a church on every corner + so many ethnic diverse cultures/customs, languages, foods, religions back then 🙋. Everyone was inclusive + attended festivals, parades, and local celebrations! *There are 2 other Cleveland, Ohio signs; totalling 3 signs. #2) E. 9th Street, #3)If you are driving from Progressive field go 1 exit West to W. 14th street exit, the at stop sign at the end of exit turn left + you can see it(*It's right before Abbey Bridge when leaving the SouthSide now known as the Tremont neighborhood)on Abbey Avenue in Tremont. If that were confusing again here are the 3 scripted Cleveland, Ohio Signs locations if you want to visit + take a photo of it or with it; Three scripted Cleveland signs are located at #1)Edgewater Park, #2)Northcoast Harbor on E. 9th Street and #3)on Abbey Avenue in Tremont.

blossom is a very nice venue for concerts in general, it's not super big, but the natural amphitheater shape is nice for sound and it's in a cool rural location. too bad you can't really see the stage from the grass, however. i've never been to red rocks, i'd imagine red rocks is better... but... anyway.

As a world traveler, I think many Clevelanders dont realize how good they have it. The violent crime is concentrated in very specific parts of the city. Cleveland literally has everything that Chicago has for half the price. Music, arts, sports, world-class museums and nature preserves. Also, some of the friendliest people in the entire nation.

As a born and raised Clevelander I approve this message! Yes you did butcher Cuyahoga (kai-uh-hog-uh)! There is way more food all over the city east and west Spanish, Italian and many other! Our winters are terrible but our summers are gorgeous. There is so much to do here for all ages! Thanks for visiting!! Next time go deeper into the surrounding suburbs Coventry and little Italy is amazing for authentic Italian food! We are definitely creative when it comes to food and drinks!!

I haven't been there for a while, but their library was great! I doubt it's still in there, though. It also used to offer courses to high school students for free if they were interested in the arts. No clue if it still does, though. I hope so on both notes. Wait, that was the Cleveland Institute of Art. The museum had a rotating cast of collections, which was a nice touch. Some were exclusive to them. Sometimes I miss the school days.

I've been to Cleveland many times over the years. It's fun to joke around with the locals like I'll tell them I never realized what a great city it was since my father always called it the mistake on the lake, but he only came in for business and didn't do much else. They usually get a kick out of that

I lived in Cleveland from 1980-90 and again from 1995-03. There really is so much to do and so many great places to eat. Still have friends and relatives there. I miss summer bike nights at Quaker Steak n Lube - hundreds of motorcycles ! Btw Cedar Point is an awesome park for roller coasters and other thrill rides, but it's in Sandusky about an hour west of Cleveland.

"kai-ah-hoe-ga" lol. This is a great video, you did a wonderful job! As a Clevelander I was worried about this video, but it's 100% accurate. So much to do here and people are genuinely very friendly. I would add that as of this year Cleveland Metroparks, which account for 24,000 acres and over 300mi of trails are ranked #1 parks in the US! We also have Severance Hall and the Cleveland Orchestra. Severance is ranked one of the most beautiful concert halls in the world and the Cleveland Orchestra is ranked in the top 5 orchestras in the world. They also perform at an outdoor venue, Blossom, all sorts of family oriented stuff like Disney songs and movies with the orchestra playing all the music live. Thank you again for such a great video!

Back when I was young in the 70s and 80s my grandparent's WW2 generation seemed like they all skipped town from the day after New Years until the week before Easter, and headed south, getting the name 'snowbirds". We get that lake effect cloud cover in that time as well as the snow, which adds to the brutality. A couple of more years until the kids are out of school, and I will keep the Basecamp here, but be a snowbird. Even the native Americans didn't stay here over the winter!! They saw the snow situation and got the hell out too! Lol!

Don't forget, after you've spent 3-4 days in Cleveland to stop by Canton and visit the Pro Football Hall of Fame. After that, come to Columbus and spend 3 or 4 days here. You can visit the Columbus Zoo, Center of Science and Industry (COSI), The Columbus Museum of Art, The Ohio State University and the museums that reside there, The Ohio Theater, and The North Market (for lunch or a snack). The Ohio Statehouse is here, the National Veterans Memorial and Museum is here and the local food and brew scene is amazing!! The head over to Dayton and visit The Aviation Trail, and of course, The National Museum of the United States Air Force (which takes a solid two days to see). Then head to Cincinnati. Basically, Take two weeks in the summer and tour Ohio!
