I liked how Wolverine intentionally held back against his former team, he only popped his claws against Vindicator because he knew he had a force field, but never did so against the others. Plus he saves that one girl (forgot her name) from the falling tree

Hugh Jackman is an excellent actor and the X-Men movies are better than most previous attempts to get it right but TAS is the Wolverine I remember and revere the most. He has a healing factor and unbreakable bones but never relies on it, works out to increase strength, speed, stamina and agility, not relying on his mild mutant abilities, maintains practicing the martial arts, using the cut and dry dirtiest techniques and experience from fighting along with his military background to strategize and stealth, never relying on his healing or unbreakable bones unless it's the only way. Maintains a loose adaptation of the Bushido code by rarely, if ever, pulling his claws on those that can't properly defend or without what he considers an honorable cause, loyal to his code and friends in his own way, fearless and would rather get his ass beat by standing his ground than submit. These are the things that make Wolverine the ultimate bad-ass. He's not everyone's favorite and that's cool: We all got our favorites. But anyone who thinks he isn't a bad-ass and valueable addition to any team is a dumbfuck. Even Cyclops (who does not like Logan AT ALL) recognized and respects what Wolverine brings to the table (and vice-versa).

Both Shaman and Forge practiced magic: Shaman could pull a legion of demons out of his messenger bag, while Forge could walk in a battle naked and pull a nearly indestructible suit of armor from thin air.

Seems to me like the writers of this cartoon hated Wolverine, he got his ass kicked in every episode (and that's why I never liked this show too much) but at least in this single episode Wolvie fans got some justice.
