Looking at the preview of Deadpool 3, the theme of the film seems to talk about "2nd chances", implying most of the characters that were killed off in the past Marvel Films like the Xmen, to the MCU films like the Avengers, they were given a "2nd chance". In my opinion, Lady Deathstrike DO DESERVES a 2nd Chance. In X2, she doesn't talk much (in fact, she only have 1 line in the script); additionally, she was brainwashed by Stryker to be his slave henchwoman to do Stryker's bidding & was senselessly killed at the end of the X2 film. If Deathstrike do have a "2nd Chance" role in this upcoming Deadpool 3, my prediction would be it may suits her Comic Book version well in that she will have a highly Angered Vengeful Personality. I predicted in this upcoming Deadpool 3, her Vengeful Personality would be caused by the events of X2, where she was a victim of Stryker's Mind Control Serum. I predict she will have a Rematch fight against Wolverine in this Deadpool 3 where she would blame Wolverine for killing her in the past without giving her a chance to explain herself that she was under the influence of Stryker's Mind Control Serum.

In the cartoon show, they had a romance when Wolverine spent time in Japan (before the Weapon X program) then some years later he gets the process done to him but in his berserker rage, he kills a bunch of soldiers and scientists from the lab before escaping. One of them was Yuriko's father, Professor Oyama, that's when she finds the Reavers and wants the same process done to her so she can avenge her father.

The dolly shot when Deathstrike charges at Wolverine while both staying at the edge of the frame burned into my mind the very first time I saw it in the cinema. If the whole theater repeated "holy shit" then either you forgot or didn't read the comics. In the comics Lady Deathstryke's real is Yuriko Oyama. She was the child of Dr. Oyama. The lead scientist that gave Wolverine his adamantium skeleton. Blaming Wolverine for the death of her father (a result of when Wolverine escaped after the adamantium was added) she transformed herself into a cyborg with adamantium claws. Her hands permanently look the hands of a tree monster. In this movie she a mutant with the same powers as Wolverine. Only instead of claws it's her fingernails. Stryker found her, brainwashed her, then put her through the same process as Wolverine. Those who were familiar with the comics knew she would look like that. I'm sorry. I don't mean to be insulting. It's just no one said anything in my theater and I already knew. But despite being familiar with the comics there are some things that surprised me in these movies. Looking forward to the sequel "X-Men 97' " on Disney+ .

Kelly Hu looked very menacing as Lady Deathstrike. I'll admit: I was scared of her and had a crush on her at the same time. That shows how good of an actress Kelly is. Kelly played the character quite well. Scary, but well. Kelly Hu was SO menacing in this film. By the end of the fight, I felt bad for Deathstrike because she was being controlled by Stryker. When Wolverine injected Yuriko with the adamantium, where eyes turned brown, and the look on Yuriko's face proves her innocence. In the end, Yuriko knew she was being controlled by Stryker's serum that allows him to control mutants. Therefore, Yuriko (Deathstrike) was innocent. I will always feel bad for her. What are your thoughts?

Yeah when her eyes changed, showing the mind-control had worn off, she almost looked peaceful for a moment. Though she was in terrible pain, it was also a release. Perhaps Yuriko wanted to die instead of being slave, and Logan was the only one able to free her.

They kinda wasted her here, instead of just saving her for The Wolverine and staying true to the comics. They decided instead to have Mariko be "the lover" and have Viper be the sub-antagonist. Just replace the Mariko storyline with Lady Deathstrike; have her be working for Yashida with orders to seduce Logan to convince him to give up his immortality to spend the rest of his life with her. They end up falling for each other for real, but Logan leaves her when he unintentionally finds out about Yashida's plan. That's when he becomes her favorite name for him, "Gaijin!". I know that retreads the X-Men Origins storyline, but this is much better lol.

Heard Kelly hu will return as lady deathstrike in that upcoming Deadpool & Wolverine film. In X2, not much is said about Kelly hu’s character. She had only 1 line to say & she was nothing but Stryker’s brainwashed slave henchman who was tragically killed in the end of x2 before more is said about her. Hopefully her return in Deadpool & Wolverine will have her NOT got brainwashed & especially having her talk a bit more to know about her personality

Something about the way Lady looked at Logan in the end, when she knew she was dead. She was probably like Logan, a mutant with all his powers, went through the same experiment either for her own personal reasons or by force, only to be used as a tool, a weapon and nothing more. When she looks at him, her eyes change, like she was freed from enslavement after what could have been many years and was finally able to die by the hands of someone like her, someone who went through what she did and was truly free. I haven't seen this film in a while, it's probably been over a decade now, so I'm most likely just assuming a lot, but I gained so much from so little, and I can't say that about a lot of movies or shows nowadays.

She's dead. You guys forget that she has to breathe. A healing factor doesn't make you immune to drowning and/or suffocation. Her body was filled up with adamantium from the inside, so she straight up couldn't breathe.
