Jim is gonna have oil in his air box . It is only 3.5 total . Drain like you did , then fill the oil tank only , not the crankcase with 2.5 quarts . Run it up to 160degrees . Then add one more quart to the oil tank . Job done . Any more then that it will blow it into the air box

Thanks for all your service videos! I have a 2022 X2 XTR and I'm ready to do my first service. Not a fan of the Yamaha service kit for that price. In your opinion, can I swap out all oil and gear lubes with Amsol synthetic lubes?

They gave the "engine only" oil capacity in the manual, and did not include the oil filter's capacity. A new oil filter it brings the total amount of oil required to 4 quarts.

I go to my local peavey mart for my oil for my Suzuki King quad. And for castor oil that meets all the requirements it says it needs its $80 and that’s not including the filter I get from Suzuki. So it’s about the same price. And that’s not even synthetic oil. I am going to go to synthetic next oil change that’s going to cost more I would think.

I own Honda dirt bikes and road bikes and quads I never buy their stuff unless they absolutely have. All the bike dealers on the Yamaha you know all of them Kawasaki they charge you you know 100 bucks for just walking in😂😂😂😂
