In this case DCF didn't know. She was only in the country for the past 6 years, and the little boy was from Haiti. And from what the sherrif said at a press conference, the little boy was a happy kid at school, so there was nothing to suspect.

Many of These adoption programs and agencies have absolutely no psychological backgrounds being done.The great income and beautiful home doesn't cut it ok? Some of these adoptive parents hold onto childhood trauma themselves, adopt these children that need a safe, loving and secure home, the parents or parent does the total opposite and it's never known until a tragedy like this occurs. What I’m going to say may not be too popular but people are coming to this country from cultures very different than ours and are doing what they do in their country. I worked with a Haitian woman who filled a sock with rocks and beat her husband with it after finding out he was cheating and the police let it go because it was something they did in Haiti. He had significant injuries so I told her she was lucky but how often will cops let these things go for that reason? It’s sending a wrong message and it’s being done in the name of diversity. I’m sure it’s easy to kill a child in Haiti

You're absolutely right. Especially in South American countries. I've seen a lot of Hispanics that find it acceptable to beat on their kids. I think it's not just "culture" but instead generational poverty=stress plays a role. We need to make it clear that it's not okay in the United States.

I was in jail for a month with the girl from gwinnette county ga (devin moon) who left her baby girl in a closet while she went to the club and stripped.... and she died and was malnourished. No one talked to her. Shes was in so much danger they put her in the pod where the newcomers go and dtay for a week or 2 until going to their "rugular" pod or bond out...she looked so bright and cheerful and she just pissed me off by the very site of her and she walked around with a cup w her daughters picture on it... come to find out her mom also had been trying to gain custody
