There is this one woman in my neighborhood who is anorexic, and she would used to work out an hour a day running on the treadmill. She is skinny to the point where bones are showing. One day, she got banned from the gym by the owners because they were concerned for her condition and didn’t want her to be affiliated with them. I thought that they made the right call for her sake. Renegade Rants - I found myself doing the same thing after my mom passed away. I started slow and exercised for only 45min's but a yr later I was exercising 5hrs a day. Anytime I felt a little stress come on or if I woke up from nightmares (because I watched mom die so I would dream of her dying) I would go and exercise. Quite a few times I would get home from exercising only to go back out 30min's later. Once I started seeing a therapist and facing all the trauma I dealt with since I was 11yrs old, I am back to 45min's a day.

Like many things we all do, it can become an addiction. I started working out in a gym after I was diagnosed with Fibromyalgia. I started out swimming which led to treadmills, and then I worked out on all the different exercise machines in the gym. I went from 1 to 2 hours of working out a day, 3 days a week, to 4 to 5 hours of working out 5 days a week. The pain I had was incredible from Fibromyalgia, and I worked through the pain because this was my way to feel I was strong and not a weak person with this illness. Working out was the best stress release for me when bad was happening around me. I started to become addicted to working out. I started getting nodules on my hands from holding on to the bars in the gym. As the old saying goes, "Do things in moderation is true. Anything can trigger an addiction for you to have. It's been many years since I've been to a gym because I have a gym in my home. Sadly, I have osteoarthritis in my joints with fibromyalgia, and nowadays, I can hardly work out at all. It was my coping mechanism to feel as normal as can be. It didn't work out that way in the end. When you find yourself doing something that takes up most of your time, and it's all you think about, then it's an addiction.

At least the mom believes her! My step dad started molesting me as soon as I hit puberty (it sickens me to even write this) after my older sister was taken out of our home and given custody to the state after making allegations (which I knew was true!) about him, which MY MOM told me to tell the investigator that my sis is a liar...(I was 12) after she was taken out, he turned his sights on me. my mom didn't believe me, bc he told her so many lies to cover up his actions. I cannot go into detail what he did for obvious reasons. still to this day she doesn't believe me (I'm almost 35) and is still married to that piece of shit to this day. I had problems with drugs for a lot of years off and on and ended up going to rehab. from there they sent me to a therapist, who told me that the statute of limitations never ran out for this type of crime, and did I want to press charges? As an adult? I thought about it for 2 weeks. I went back and told her no. I still love my mom and didn't want to see her life ruined even though she let someone else ruin mine.(She's pretty dependant on the money he brings in.) it may sound terrible but I'm just waiting for him to kick the bucket (he's 14 yrs older than my mom!) so I can finally have a relationship with my mom without his creepy old man ass around. I am fearful when they visit, I have 4 beautiful daughters, 3 of which have hit puberty... he is also an elder in his church, I can't believe it...

B I agree. I was sexually abused when I was a child now I have anxiety (started when I was 7) a eating disorder which has been on and off since I was 11. Self harm and depression. Not saying it's all because of what happend but it paid a huge role in it.

Coming from a competitive gymnast who was also in the gym 3 hours a night after school and from 9-5 daily during summers, that’s what the sport taught us. Push through the pain, go go go - then go again. It becomes an addiction. For me I was addicted at age 7. Hands ripped open and bleeding? Don’t care. Body trembling and crying? Hold it longer. I used to train, then come home at 9:30pm on school nights and condition for another hour. I didn’t go through the abuse she did, God heal her soul, my story is much different in terms of life challenges although they were tough, but that’s truly the nature of the sport. Our coaches made us wake up at 4 or 5am Before meets and eat giant bowls of pasta for breakfast so that we had enough carbs to burn. Not too healthy.... You beast through broken bones and sprained muscles. I’ve competed with more injuries than I can count. I recall a particular girl who was very strong but not flexible and her lack of flexibility was holding her back. The coaches used to sit on her shoulders and force her into the spilts as she screamed and cried, for example.

Lol somehow I first thought you were pointing at 2 minutes 30 seconds in this video, then I clicked, noticed it's 2:29 long and thought you were messing with us haha. But seriously that's really unhealty and I hope she gets better :/

had to basically do the same on weight lifting days for college baseball. up most of the night studying or finishing hw/projects then going to bed at 2-3am then getting up at 5:30 am to go lift weights before 8am class. then after school having a 4 hr practice. so glad it was only 3 days a week.

It is so sad how common child molestation is, and I have never met an adult who grew up to be normal after that.

That is not a simple addiction i think. Its a mental or psychological problem.

crazybike911 I think she has OCD. When my father was involved in a bad accident any 1 yr later I developed OCD. I hid it from my mother. I had this obsession with license plate#'s primarily. I basically forced myself to stop by telling myself I will do it later and the OCD subsided. Now on a scale of 1-10. It's abt a 2. On a bad day a 3. But back then it was like a 9 or 10.

This probably wouldn't be a problem if she just ate like 10,000 calories per day and slept a couple more hours
@linrubyred40847 жыл бұрын
l bet she doesn't eat anything like the amount she should be. that's why she is wasting instead of muscle bound.

Any addiction is a problem. If you feel you HAVE to do something and get no joy out of it anymore like she its controlling you. But yes physically eating more and sleeping more would help. But she can't sleep more because she has no time.

Roasty Toasty she doesn't just do cardio. She was doing press ups and sit ups so muscle bound would be correct if she ate actually
