I run or go to the gym 5-6 days a week, for 2 hours. The longest I can rest is one day, and I have to be VERY tired to be able to. Otherwise I turn into an anxious monster! I feel literal pain all over my body and I can’t sleep.

I did that or more for over 20 years. I think I burned out my thyroid. Now I have very little energy. I can barely jog one block without getting winded. I put on belly fat and for the fist time in my life a doctor told me I have to lose weight. I haven't worked out in the last 4 years and I'm just starting to recover enough energy to go on a 2 mile walk every morning. "Everything in moderation", The Buddha.

I eat a lot of food, like I'll eat 4 whole eggs with egg whites, and maybe a chicken breast with some oatmeal and veggies for breakfast (It's a big breakfast), I do this for that high surge of energy that allows me to perform more repetitions, and for some it's a sign of exercise bulimia but I on the other hand genuinely enjoy exercise, and every chance I get to do it I just do it. Because it's a healthy way to purge out my stresses and anxieties over uncontrollable outcomes in life.

i have this to..exercise addiction is real....mine is aimed more towards running...for 17 years I been addicted to running....have also had period issues, been under weight, always watching what I eat and also recently suffered a stress fracture in my foot...so addicted I was even exercising with a broken foot...I think you finally wake up when you realize your the most unhealthy, healthy person ever... and once you injure yourself you realize you need to take better care of your body

What you should remember is this girl, and lots of other people with Exercise Bulimia, NEED to exercise, it's not just a hobby, it's a compulsion, and they DENY themselves the right to eat particular foods, it's not that they don't eat because they haven't got the time. They are too scared to eat a lot and they are too scared to miss a session because they are scared of gaining weight. It is a mental illness in which cannot be controlled easily. Training and Exercise Bulimia are very different.

I thought i had this problem but watching this video made me realise my problema are nothing, i exercise everyday but not 3 hours, about 10 minutes early in the morning then 10 minutes late in the morning then 15 minutes after lunch 30 minutes in the afternoon 10 minutes before dinner 15 minutes after dinner and after few minutes other 10 minutes, i think i try my hardest but when i see videos of intense workouts i understand mines are nothing:( i eat about 800-900 calories a day but i feel the need to burn all them off, i don't accepte invites anymore bc my workout plans and i would get sick if i ever skip one workout for one day, i would feel fat and miserable and wouldn't be able to focus on anything else but workout

It seems like couple of times a day I see the same woman jogging across my town. I'll see her jogging and sometime later I'll see her all the way on the other side of town. She's running everyday and looks so skinny she might blow away with the slightest gust of wind. The fist time I saw her about 5 years ago, she looked about 20 and healthy, but now she looks like she's in her 40's.

I've had exercise addiction for 28 years since I was 15. That's when I really started lifting and training for high school sports. Fitness consumes my thoughts on a daily basis. So I either want to be at the gym lifting, doing bodyweight calisthenics, doing some form of cardio, or generally moving. Being sedentary and resting feels like torture to me, and this is most likely why I have sleep issues. I've made strides to find balance with cutting lifting back to 4x per week, limiting my walking and movement to 10-12K steps per day, and only 150 min of cardio per week. I hope this lets me sleep better and feel less obsessed.

I am wathing this while training for 4 hour. I did 4 hour training two days ago and 5 hour training a day before. That's because i'm blaming myself for eating a bit too much and wants to burn so many calories as possible. I don't want to gain weight, but also don't want to be muscular. The thing i want to stop is binge eating and overexercising. I talked to psychologist, but still have this problem. These videos shows me pretty much and gives good informations, motivation to fight. I hope i will meet my goal someday. Being very skinny, eating normal and not blaming myself the whole time. I've been even scared to eat food in front of my family in the last year. Hate to speak about food for now, heard mean comments from my siblings. The problem is also when YOUR PARENTS buys you sooo many food and thinks that you're an expert only because you train much 😩😒 To everyone who thinks that eating disorder is something you just can stop: Nooo! A person is fighting every single day. The person thinks about food almost every minute. It's very hard to stop ☹️

I fit my exercise routines into me work schedule. Instead of driving to work I would get up two hours early and bike to work then go to the gym. Then I would to the reverse going home. My gym was very convenient because it was right into my office building. On the weekends I would just walk all day or run. Holidays were about the only times I didn't work out, but I would make up for it other times.

I exercise everyday but in a healthy balance way two or three TBWO or sometimes Push/Pull/Legs, or Upper/Lower splits weight training sessions 1-2 HIIT Cardio workouts and also Yoga and taking walks. Also, simples basic healthy eating 80/20 rule. Strict eating and one cheat meal on a weekend.

the problem here is not excercise.. the problem here is her diet... I supposed she eats very little for the amount of exercise she is doing, 3 hours a day is for six years without day off is nothing to elite athletes especially olympians, try to check michael phelp's work out, and see how much he eats... she is addicted to getting slim that's why she work out and does not eat enough... while athletes are addicted to winning and performance that's why they work out and eat right....

My problem is I know I can't cut calories so I just do 1 hour of walking, 1 hour of intense cardio, and one hour of resistance bands 6 days a week. I don't really count the walking as exercise though cuz it's just my walk to and from the gym. It's not speed walking or anything like that. The way I see it, I may never be as thin as I want but at least I'll have a decent figure by keeping up with my workout. 😁

All of the signs the doctor mentioned except missing important events arent negative in my opinion. When you workout instead of laying around when your sick you help yourself get better like with a cold for example. If you eat a fat slice of ice cream cake knowing you can gain weight easily of course your going to be anxious and the whole point of exercise is to burn off your calories from food. So if you know your not going to workout why eat 500 calories extra worth of food? Self control!

@jackhammer80616 жыл бұрын
Considering you only work out 20-45 max and only go 3 days a week....thats probably not normal at all. You need to put A LOT more work in for your body to bring itself to a higher standard enough so that not working out and coming down from it will give you a real impact like that. Your problems are definitely something else lmao
@tigerbend19646 жыл бұрын
To all the people who confuse a workoutaddiction with being serious about your workouts are wrong. Someone who is actually serious about exercising, making the best results possible and doing everything they can to optimize their results never have a workout addiction. Why? Because: 1. you can't train hours and hours on end everyday if you are pushing yourself as hard as you can every time you workout and progressing every time you workout (unless you are on steroids). 2. Your diet and amount of rest should be perfect aswell if you are serious about working out (enough rest days, enough and healthy nutrition, making sure you DON'T get injured,...) 3.Workout addiction is a result of a stupid workout program, not a serious workout program. 4. Serious exercisers train to get results, not run from untreated mental problems. I used to be addicted to working out and tbh now that I'm on a serious workout regime I can see that what I was doing wasn't being extremely serious about exercising but being stupid and sacrificing quality for quantity. You can't get addicted to a serious workout routine as doing one that actually makes you progress the best of your abilities will make you hate having to workout.

Exercise is bad for you and is unnecessary. You're just damaging your joints and you don't need it to be healthy. You are damaging your joints and tendons when you overuse them. Also, after the age of 25, your body doesn't recover quickly anymore, so you've got to take it slow. Just live a sedentary lifestyle.
