I am a veteran who lives in a military town. It's heartbreaking just how many military members do this very thing. When they transfer to a new duty station so many of them leave their pets behind, even though there are numerous alternatives. I cant fathom abandoning an animal that I purposly chose to be apart of my family. We as military members are supposed to believe in honor, courage, and commitment, but where is honor in leaving a poor defensive animal alone to fend for itself just because it became an inconvenience? Over the years, I have rescued 7 cats on my street alone, and all were from fellow service men and women leaving them behind. SHAME ON ALL OF YOU!! Thank God for the woman in this video. We need more people like her in the world.🌎 ❤

Not sure its the same but when I lived on a base we were told if we could prove animal abandonment they'd reprimand the soldier that left the animal behind, and make them pay to rehome them. (By pay to rehome them the locals would find a good foster home or no kill shelter near the base and the soldier would be required to pay for its food, vet bills, etc. until it was adopted.)

The love my kitten gives me is the best feeling ever. My dog immediately accepted her into our pack, the first thing she did was clean her ears, face etc. she loves having a new playmate to, I should add that I have a 70lb pitbull lol Some animals find you, and it’s 100% meant to be.
