Not true I've had my Miranda rights read to me and was never arrested.
@AToneForOurSins4 күн бұрын
@jrjd1999 that doesn't mean it isn't true, that just means on your case you were being advised of your rights. You can't get arrested and NOT be read your rights, but you can SURE AS HELL be read your rights and NOT be arrested. Does that make sense? Just becauee everything you got arrested, your rights were read to you doesn't mean everyone who has their rights read to them is being arrested. Anybody who knows what Miranda rights ACTUALLY are, would know this. But here we are, everybody "knows" their rights, but they have no clue what their actual rights are. And you are a perfect example of that.
@jrjd19994 күн бұрын
@AToneForOurSins you can be arrested without your miranda rights being read to you. The only time cops need to read your miranda rights is if they wish to question you. Other than that, they can take you in without saying them.

Banker here…it really depends on the specific situation and/or amount of check to determine the hold time on the check. Banks have to comply with strict regulations on holds. For instance, if we have a new customer who has had their account for less than 30 days, we can put a 9 day hold on those funds with no availability of any funds during that time. For an existing customer there could be a 2 or 4 day hold. I have seen a situation where we placed a four day hold on a check, the bank it was drawn off of returned it for the wrong reason, we redeposited it, the hold fell off during this time, and it was finally returned as a fraudulent check. The customer took the money after the hold fell off. Unfortunately, it is the customer who is defrauded and not the bank. Another unfortunate truth is that these few people who do these things, make it hard for everyone else who are doing legitimate business. Banks are looked at as the bad guys while what we are really trying to do is protect you and not have you have to pay back money you didn’t have to begin with. If you ever think that something is not right, please talk to your banker. We do not want to separate you between you and your money.

When my uncle passed (about 13 years ago) and my mother inherited everything, there was one check for $26,000+ and it took her so much red tape to cash out. Well, in essence that's what happened. These check fraud schemes are pretty common, and what almost always happens is a criminal organization has the stolen checks (either a stolen checkbook or a counterfeited actual check) and they look for some tweaker to be the mule that goes inside the bank to cash it in exchange for a portion of the cash. As soon as the cops show up the handlers GTFO to avoid legal trouble themselves so the least-guilty party is left holding the bag inside the bank. If you've watched several of these videos you've likely noticed that they a) never know the people in the car with them and b) as soon as the cops get on scene they try to get vehicle information and have the next arriving officer look for the vehicle (but by then it's almost always gone). They'll hit several banks in the same area back to back before the cops / bank catch on but in this case it seems these were amateurs which is why a) they made multiple trips to the same bank and b) stuck around on scene like idiots.
