I've known many people from various walks of life, from successful lawyers and doctors to homeless addicts, and only one good friend of mine has admitted to cheating, and she felt horrible about it. There were random acquaintances who got around during their party phase, but virtually all of them were in a friends with benefits situation/open relationship. Cheating may be fairly common, but it's not the norm, nor should anyone try to make it the norm. I'm not saying you're a bad person, but if everyone you know has no problem hurting others and lying, maybe re-check why you're friends with them. To each his own, though.
