Woman discovered dead at Disneyland parking structure

Police are investigating the circumstances surrounding the death of a woman at a Disneyland Resort parking structure on Saturday night, according to Anaheim Police. This report aired on KTLA 5 News at 7, Feb. 19, 2023.

Just so everyone knows this is the fourth or fifth death since the parking structure opened in 2000. Three of those people committed suicide while the others I believe were accidents. I go there almost every month and just the second floor is quite high you’d probably break something and anything else is almost fatal. The whole structure is very safe with the exception of those crosswalks or bridges to the other parking lots but even then they’re high enough you’d have to climb. My suggestion is Disney just build an a cage for the higher levels but the again safety hazards so who knows?

Yeah I worked there recently and parked there every damn day and it did cross my mind a couple times that it isn’t too safe for people if they were that out of mind and wanted to jump….they could….

I frequent Disneyland too, i noticed how high we were when I parked in goofy and it was raining. I looked over and saw just how high I was. Never noticed it. Idk if Disney will put something up to prevent ppl will falling. The sight off it may “ruin the magic” but i some safety measure is taken

@@cherry2850 yea I don’t think so because we get earthquakes and that can be seen as a hazard or blocking people in. Even with guards on each level it would be impossible to reach anyone who has an accident. But I do think having someone near those crosswalk/bridges would deter people. Also the Colorado bridge or suicide bridge has the same issue. No matter how high u build cages someone who wants to take their life will find a way to… to date the Colorado bridge is over 100 years old with over 100 suicides among being haunted.

If you notice they always say that they gave the person cpr (obviously they were deceased) they do this to transport the body off of Disneyland property. Once they are off property they stop the cpr and are pronounced dead hence is why they say no one dies at Disneyland.

You’re right, but you also gotta realize that she got up to the point where she could jump off that parking structure to begin with. Any place in your theme park that is high enough to kill someone should be at least watched and properly guard railed, especially if it’s utility. If she worked then, then Disney isn’t to blame at all. If she was a Guest, then there should have been something keeping her from just getting to the top of a parking structure just on her own and Disney is responsible for poor park safety. I fully admit that I could be very wrong about this building she lept from (Not like the footage they used actually showed what she jumped off from and they were very vague about what it was) and I do agree with you that ultimately it is the person choosing to jump and not the park making her, but there is very rarely a tragic situation involving Disney where Disney is completely devoid of all fault. Doesn’t really matter though. I hope her close and loved ones get some peace and support through all this.

There were more deaths. In the 80’s or 90’s, a teen scaled the fence to get in the park and was walking on the monorail track and was hit and runned over by the monorail. The other is “Dolly’s Dip” at the Matterhorn where a lady was decapitated on the ride. I believe she was standing up or had her seatbelt off or got out of the ride and was killed by getting hit from another bobsled. A Disney employee got crushed between two moving walls on the former “America Sings” attraction. A man was crushed by the train engine on Thunder Mountain. There are a lot more incidents, most seemed to be during Michael Eisner’s reign because he was notorious for cutting corners, most notably with the “cleat incident” by replacing the rope with fiberglass which literally became a bungee chord instead of using normal rope which can safely break.
