And off leash dog owners say, he's ok and i say, "you say". They also get out and obviously not well trained or cared for. I keep my head on a swivel when I am walking my dog. It can happen anywhere. Owners get a felony....barred from pet ownership for life. Wasp spray could save your life and or your pet's. Sprays 20 ft.....

That's why I no longer walk in my neighborhood or even in parks. Dog owners have become careless and let their pets go unleashed free to roam the streets. I walk around a police station every day but still be vigilant.

I’m selective where I go for my walks . In my neighborhood a dog has to be leashed at all times when they’re out walking. Owners must hold dog next to them when passing others.

My condolences to the family so sad, this is the reason I will not walk am 63 yrs old and when I drive around my community I always see dogs roaming around one day going from my detached garage to my house 2 Rotttweilers ran up to me. I froze and said ''Jesus" they ran besides me I ran to my door, poor lady how she must of suffered.

We have a leash law in my town. No one listens. My neighbors leave their dog roam while they’re on their front porch. The dog has previously run at people before they could stop it. Their excuse is the dog is on their property. Unfortunately, I think we need tests & a license to own any pet, like driving a car. Maybe that will help a little. People just don’t care anymore. They have no respect for anyone or anything.

So sad/preventable. I walk in my neighborhood/park with my firearm because I've had to deal with this loose dogs issue since I was a kid. If these owners wont properly secure their dogs and they come charging at me/my kid, I won't hesitate to protect me/my kid's life. Had to jump fences as a kid, on the way to school trying to get away from dogs. All of these irresponsible dog owners know their dogs keep getting out/or like to run out when they open the door, don't have a proper leash/or no leash at all. You can tell by their fence with holes/bricks or they're always screaming telling them to come here when they let them out to pee/poop. Back then they would put these attack dogs down. But now these dogs almost have more rights than humans. Long before pitbulls were popular people were getting attacked by German shepherds, chows, huskies, bull dogs, Rottweilers and mutts. I only say this because people probably automatically assume it's a pitbull, but any dog can attack. I have a friend extremely scared of dogs because she was attacked by a Chihuahua when she was a kid. My sister's hand was mangled while she was playing in the yard as a kid. The neighbors German shepherd was off the leash in it's yard, playing with their kid. But came charging my sister and attacked. I was walking my dog and the owner had the window up and their Husky jumped through the screen and attacked my dog. I'm quick to call animal control, police/or rental management when I see a big dog roaming around/off the leash. I didn't ask if the dog bite when I ask is this your dog off the leash. As an adult I don't have pets because it's too much responsibility and I don't have money for law suits.
