Mat & Danielle, thank you for another high quality tour of this refreshingly open tiny home. I especially love all the rounded corners. At 76 years old, my skin has thinned and I'm prone to skin tears and bruises, so I know the hazards of squared corners. I purchased a school library table from a local shop; but told the shop owner that I'd buy it, if he'd round off the corners. He took the table outside his shop, cranked up his chain saw, rounded the corners, gave them a quick sanding, and it is now my favorite piece of furniture. You have to know that I love your channel, not only for the quality of your videos, but also because you guys live by your values regarding honesty and ethical product use and info. But, then there is y'all's super duper personalities. Keep up the good work. PS: I'm working my way to minimalism, and hope to live in a tiny home, designed to make accommodations for my crooked, chronically painful back, within the next two to three years.

I love they (her also) simplicity this is a truly minimalist tiny house Many ppl here comment about the toilet, water...they mentioned they have a toilet outside the house.. Also water come from a rainwater tank system (lot cabins,tiny homes in the country may have in property) .... These young awesome couples are outdoorsy, country persons..I know they can handle all that... I use to live in the backcountry..I really miss the country...people from the country and people from city are not the same ....

Hi Mat and Danielle. Thanks so much for showing us Rebecca (and her invisible partner) in a home they've lived in for years instead of months. To hear so much excitement in her voice after 5 years living in Keva is really heartening. She talks about shortcomings and limitations-and they don't soon to bother her much at all. Like the design and size; love the windows, trim design and French doors. And the live edges and beauty of the wood. And the porch. 😄 For me, the tub is too small and what seems to be no fridge are issues. Oh, well; it works for them. Joyously, it appears. Congrats and best wishes to you all! Thanks again for posting this lovely video. 🏠 🏡

This is a good attitude that is gradually spreading, which is to start off as debt free as possible. This young woman knew what she wanted and worked hard to get it. Just how much room do you need, especially when living in an environment such as above where that can be used as a giant 'outdoor room'. Love that the bed is raised. I have a small Motorhome where I have an innerspring double mattress. I had slats attached to the bed stand, that has storage underneath, to get some air circulating under the mattress. Having the guest hut is a great idea and gives everyone their privacy.

My Mom has talked of loving the tiny houses BUT she is also 78 years old so climbing is out. I think she would love the tiny houses however, since mostly young people design/live in these, they will not work when you are nearly 8 decades old. I'd love for her to have a place on our property with a small home to live in that doesn't take much space and time to clean. But NO stairs, no ladders, no having to lift anything as she is my special old lady.

Lovely home! I really love her wrap around porch and the "guest suit"/storage shed. I've been interested for some time in building a permanent small house on land, but as my husband and I have very different needs for quiet and down time I've been challenged by keeping the design small whilst honoring those needs. The idea of having a separate bedroom with perhaps a desk/work space and then storage that's accessible from the outside behind the north wall of the bedroom say, could really work! Thanks so much for sharing.

I have a question. How do you classify this as tiny house living? She has different buildings to hold the stuff others keep in a regular house. Several small buildings add up to a large one, right?
@FinnMiaBelle4 жыл бұрын
Teresa Basinger well, not all of the buildings need to be heated/cooled, only the main home....so it does save money.
@teresabasinger59654 жыл бұрын
@@FinnMiaBelle That's not the point. She's still requiring more square footage. I know several homes where they heat with wood, and have no air conditioning, yet the home is larger. I'm saying, she's still taking up more space than she's claiming. Anyone could live in a "tiny house" if they had several of them.

I love the ethic of tiny house living, several of my friends live on narrow boats; the longest is 54 feet long, the shortest is only 30 feet long. All are 8 feet across and 7feet 6 inches high with 18 inches draft. They all find living in these small spaces perfectly adequate for their purposes and i live in the largest building which is a static mobile home ( 42 feet X 20 feet), which you would call a trailer home. As the need for more and more social housing is needed at an affordable price i think we should all look at these so called "alternative" life styles. Anybody who embraces this way of living i think has got it sussed. Good luck to all.

@@oceanblue2716 The idea of tiny living is downsizing, simplifying things, and doing it as cheaply/economically as possible.... we're not talking about comparing it to a regular house, if we were...I'd say it's way too small.
