One of my favorite tiny houses ever, love the metal farm store bath tub, love the cat walk, love that she is on a septic and has well water. BTW, although she clearly loves solitude, she does not let that isolate her and she goes out of her way to be a part of a community---kudos!

Great suggestion! We definitely do ask people about the cost of their home, but this detail sometimes doesn't end up in the video for a number of reasons. Sometimes we forget to ask, or we might cut it from the video because it wasn't explained in a way that made sense. Sometimes people prefer not to share, or they didn't track all of the expenses to be able to give an accurate amount. We definitely understand that prices are helpful for you to know and will continue to share that information when we can :) Thanks so much for watching!

@Mike Keller as a northern canadian myself, the real challenge is our climate. You'd freeze in a train container unless you really insulate it. But that's not even the challenge. the challenge is keeping your pipes from freezing in winter. I was really interested in the way she used a line heater...kind of a game changer. The lack of a wood stove is curious to me though. I'd definitely cash in on that free fuel!

Same - this is pretty close to exactly what I want. I would also really like to know the average monthly cost for power/heat/water/septic . The only cost I heard was the propane, almost 1200/yr (so $100/month for that). The gas for the generator could get costly if it's running for 5 months, 4-6 hours a day...very curious what that costs as well.

This would make me more than happy. Thanks for showing us inside your comfy home, Kris from Oz.
