Oh man, the way Judge Boyd handled that schedule "negotiation" was very satisfying. Straight forward, direct and clear...zero drama. Love it.

she didn't give the attorney a break because she missed court without a valid reason that morning and she was basically admonishing her. She is clearly focusing on her non-appointed clients. They make her more money so that is obviously her priority, instead of her client.

This woman started with "I only drank four beers." As soon as Judge Boyd dug a little deeper, the defendant suddenly remembered trying to get drugs for people to help them with withdrawals, totally harmless. THEN it was revealed she was actually selling drugs. Never mess with Judge Boyd, she will always get to the truth of the matter.

Honestly at this point attorneys should be coaching defendants appearing before Judge Boyd to say they made wrong or bad decisions. Not saying it would help, but it wouldn't make it worse, and Judge Boyd seems to dislike both calling bad choices mistakes and shifting blame onto other people. When people say they hung around bad people (and that's why they commited crimes) she often tells them the other person is probably calling them bad people too.

@@TheJrdiddykong23 A mistake is when you either do something when you meant to do something else (like picking up your spouse's phone instead of your own) or do something when you were incorrect about the circumstances (like missing a bill because you thought it was already paid).
