I mean Atlanta is the biggest International Airport and its really bad for human trafficking... So it's a possibility here. Just the other day my roommate and I suspected a girl being trafficked or something at a family friendly neighborhood Diner. Was a young African-American girl with a middle-aged white male. My roommate is a counselor and even I could tell that their body language was a little off. Shit happens. Should be happy there's at least people out there trying to pay attention

Disbanded it’s all over the airport. If you only stay at your school and your neighborhood, of course you aren’t going to see it. The likelihood of your school posting ads about sex and human trafficking is very unlikely and would have caused a major uproar.

@jacobshriver56997 жыл бұрын
Cecy Alvarez first of all that how she recounts it and not everything everyone says is 100% true. And would you rather them not do their jobs? If it wasn't for them being on the offense when it comes to trafficking then it would grow even more. Rest my case done arguing 👌👌
@jacobshriver56997 жыл бұрын
Cecy Alvarez and she also had no reason to cry. She s crying like they accused her of raping someone or something. She overreacted completely
@ktmcgoogle79277 жыл бұрын
I don't understand why this is news? So she had to wait at te airport because they thought she was a victim o a violent crime? I would rather have to wait at the airport for hours (and hell even if I was treated badly) than have an actual victim be left to suffer.
@kyky63877 жыл бұрын
katie mcgonigle It’s kind of sad. One one hand, some people are complaining after cases of human trafficking and terrorism occurred and they blamed authorities for “not doing their job or not doing enough”. On the other hand, some people are complaining it’s “ harassment/violation of their human rights”. *It’s so hard to satisfy everyone, some people are just hypocrites and just wants to complain whenever they can.*
@hoojikee7 жыл бұрын
True, but obviously if she's that worked up about it, it must be a very special occasion for her, maybe she rarely ever gets to see her family. Maybe this was one of the only times she could actually see her family in years. Who knows.
@kyky63877 жыл бұрын
Hoojikee However, should/how would such cases affect how the airport security treat suspected victims of trafficking? I know some may argue it’s harassment and violation of their rights but personally I do not mind giving up some of my time for a better security. Most victims of trafficking do show signs of distress and who is going to pay the ultimate price of an individual being hurt/killed if he/she is indeed a victim of trafficking and everyone just ignores the victim?

@Heyitsann7 жыл бұрын
To be honest if she said everything the same way she said it there, it would seem like she’s begging to go home as if she hasn’t seen them forever. And it’s not really profiling her, it’s already a statistic that most trafficked victims are Asian, it’s like saying if you know that dogs have flees then you look for every animal including fish. It’s not really racial profiling it’s equity.

David needs to stop this "ugly people don't get sexual assault/getting rape is a compliment because your rapist thinks you are attractive" joke. He applies this joke to himself most of the time, which makes it a little bit more OK than applying it to someone else, but this message really is not healthy, especially when your target audience are mainly teens.
